Had an enjoyable time at Trax tonight for stage 3 of the North West Stages,

Nort West Stages 2015 by J.F.T, on Flickr

Shame they only did 2 out of the 3 laps, not a good start to the event.

Welsh Tarmac championship starts tomorrow down at pembrey. I'm stuck in work this weekend so have to miss it. If anyone plans a visit, wrap up warm. the weather will be fine but fricking cold as there's no cover from the sea wind!

Does anyone know the running order for the Wyedean please? The 1400's usually go first dont they?

I will be heading to the Chepstow Park stage- first car is at 1034, but I dont think I will get there much before 11.

I'll be going to Chepstow too, then maybe the final stage. Will work it out later this week.

I presume the cars will run in seeded order?

1400s will run first as normal.

Really looking forward to this event, I've not been to a British Rally for several years now.

So the entry list runs in reverse order? Pardon my ignorance.

Not exactly, the 1400s run first, in seeded order (so car 201 will go first, all the way down to car 260 or whatever the last in that sequence is (I've not checked the entry list but the 'Dean normally runs with a full entry so I would expect lots of 1400 action)

After all the 1400s the main field will come through, starting with car 1 in seeded order.

Cars will remain in that order for the whole day, there is no reseeding.

Yup, hope to be competing next year!
Ya some stages are extremely fast with massive straights that are a good mile to two miles long that need to be broken up by chicanes to slow the cars down.

Irish tarmac rallying.... for men with steel balls.

I met Enda Sherry here in Dubai last year and was talking to him about the Irish stuff.
Another friend of mine has codriven for Melvyn Evans, both seem like normal people but by god they must be short of a screw or two to be involved with the Irish stuff!

That said, I'd love a trip down one of the stages!

How come there's so many Fiestas over here but not the Citroen or Pug equivalent? Simply because the fiesta is built over here?
