So let's see the bits of race car and other motorsport bounty you've managed to acquire! I'll start...

I have this mirror from a Focus WRC car

It's from the car Paul Bird used on the 2009 Border Counties rally so armed with this book, a present from the GF, I could trace the car's history.

Turns out that EU55 CNK was the car that Andreas Mikkelsen stuffed, I believe on Halfway?

EU55 CNK or chassis number WF03XXGCD35E42999 was built in 2006 and later converted to 2007 spec

Interesting. I was across the other side of the valley when that crash happened, it was a hell of a crunch even from that distance.

I've managed to amass a fair haul over the years.

In my garage hang 2 Arrows front wings. The Repsol wing is from Takagi's 1999 Arrows, not sure which crash though as there were so many hehe
The Chello wing is from a 2000 Arrows, again no idea which one.

Indoors I also have 2 centre-lock wheelnuts from Rydell's 1998 BTCC Volvo S40, pictured here holding a poster signed by the late, great Will Hoy:

Whilst looking for that poster, I also found 2 Honda ones signed by Thompson and tarquini, that i didn't even know I had! biggrin

I managed to go to my first Top Fuel drag meeting last summer, and whilst there I got the autographs of my childhood hero John Force, and his teammate Robert Hight, on a John Force Racing shirt I was wearing:

Finally, I have a very cherished BTCC 1997 Tour shirt, on which I am trying slowly to collect all the driver's signatures (barring Hoy and Leslie frown ). Since this photo was taken, I managed to bag Alain Menu and Jason Plato's signatures at a BTCC round last year - Plato was most surprised and enthusiastic to see such an old piece of memorabilia floating around!

EDIT:

Managed to dig out a picture of where the arrows bits came from - I was lucky enough to go on a tour of the factory in '99... shame I wasn't quite old enough to appreciate the majority of the technical detail! Thanks again to race mechanic Lee Howell - where are you now?

At work at the moment so can't post pics, but I have -
Exhaust outlet surround from the Honda Earth Dreams F1 car, with slight burn through mark. Apparently only one side had the marks which may explain a lot about why the car was so down on power.

Signed Jackie Stewart photo and letter, and Rubens Barrichello/Jan Magnussen signed photos from the 97 Stewart Ford season.

Colin Mcrae Signed Ford WRC merchandise leaflet

Harri Rovanpera/Gwyndaf Evans/Didier Auriol and Toni Gardemeister signed Seat stuff.

Pedro De La Rosa and Tora Takagi signed photo's from the 99 Arrows season.

Kenny Roberts Jr. signed MotoGP ticket

Yvan Muller signed Audi promo leaflet from his first BTCC season.

Do they have wheels in them? If so, they could make the basis of a coffee table

No large bits of old racing cars but I few signed pieces I wont ever part with:

Perry McCarthy's book signed by a few of the 'rat pack' - Himself, Julian Bailey, Blundell and Herbert.

Tiff's book signed.

Alex Zanardi autobiography signed by the great man himself (sometimes you should meet your hero's, a truly nice man)

2008 BTCC DVD signed by most of the grid past and present.

Giovanardi Alfa WTCC 156 Slot car signed

Turkingtons 09 BMW 320SI Scalextric car signed also.

And Sir Stirling Moss singed my 300SLR Slot car also, which is nice smile

Not a huge collection, but I'm proud of the Zanardi book, I wont sell any of those, but il certainly never part with that.
