It always amuses me when Ogier complains about how hard it is being first(ish) on the road, and then the drivers running further down the order complain that the road is getting worse with each car. hehe

Mikklesen back in the lead with him, Neuville and Ogier separated by 6.8 seconds!

Live stage at 11am on WRC+ and I guess on BT Sport.

Down to 4.6 between the top 3, with Ogier now in second!

So about that shootout b.s. they came up with...

I suspect there's a "sweet spot" in the running order, first on the road isn't ideal, 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc are probably optimal, after that the snow/ice cuts up to the point where stage times can suffer.

Do we think Ogier will pull it back?
I'd be surprised if he doesn't.

Another epic drive from Seb O.

Brilliant last stage drama, the first two events of the year have shown there isn't a huge amount wrong with the WRC. Banning split times has already shaken things up. Latavla wouldn't have gone off on S9 knowing Ogier had, and Mikkelsen wouldn't have had to go flat out knowing what pace Ogier was on.

Brilliant performance by Neuville, faultless all the way through.

That was worth the WRC+ annual subscription by itself!

Fair play to Ogier, I was willing a little spin into a snow bank to give Neuville the win but his car control on the very edge of the limit was outstanding.

Ogier showed why he was number 1 then. Can't imagine driving flat out on those stages not sure where the edge of the road is. Hats off to them.

Is he the same young journalist interviewed on Midweek Motorsport?

If he keeps writing about the WRC, he wont be invited back on....... wink
