So, round 2 follows soon after in three weeks time.

Entry list is here - http://www.rallysweden.com/tavlingen/anmalda/

The normal names are there, with Juho Hanninen making his first appearance in a DS3, and Hayden Paddon starting off the year in the I20.

Er, don't we have a Rallying 2015 thread? Or are we having a separate thread for each WRC, ERC, BRC, BTRDA round.....??

Wouldn't be easier to just have one thread - like the WRC one last year - so much easier to follow?

Why? You can discuss each rally on one thread, and then General rallying IE European Championship, UK events, Road rallying etc on the other.

Works fine in the F1 forum

Sweden being the only snow rally sometimes brings a curveball and hopefully a VW won't win.

Ostberg ?

Tanak ?

Unfortunately I don't think there are enough rally fans on the forum to support so many threads, and already the conversations seem to be spread across multiple threads.

Also, where do we discuss WRC between rallies?

Go and look at the F1 section. There are more comments for the new McLaren than the Monte Carlo Rally...... That says it all. Go on any forum/ website, and F1 dwarfs WRC massively. Harsh, but true.

VW were testing the Polo there late in Nov/early Dec, they had to travel North another 3-4 hours from their planned location to find decent snow for testing.
They took two Polos, one a 2014 version, the other the latest paddle shift car. One of their transporters left the road in what were truly treacherous conditions, they lost the 2014 car, it's roof crushed around the cage fairly comprehensively.

No Dani Sordo for this event, he has broken his ribs in a mountain bike accident. That means Paddon steps up to the points scoring car, while Abbring makes his Hyundai debut!

I know you can't go by shakedown too much but there are as always to key points.

Ogier is a class above everyone but after Monte still a class below Loeb.

Kubica really is fast.

I wouldn't call Ogier a class above anyone on those times, the top few after a few practice runs are only separated by tenths and his first run was what, 7th fastest.

Shakedown doesn't mean much really, but its fun to speculate about it. smile

Much as I hate to admit it, I fear you are right. Nothing against ogier per say, just dont want another 10 year domination ala Loeb.

JML has the speed but is mistake prone. Same to a an extent with Meeke. I'd really like to see Kris do well, as I fear with the sport as it is at the moment this is his make or break year...
