Watching live here in the Philippines , 2:25 am I got up just to see Jeff Gordon race in his last Daytona 500. Can he maintain this pace to win ? My heart says , why not .......but as we know anything can happen when it comes to motor racing .

Dale Jr looks the most likely among the Hendricks cars to win , it's Gordons restarts that worry me unless he's improved from last season .

Only been casually watching so far over dinner and Top Gear. Looks like I have tuned in at the right time with 20 to go. Things about to get a bit crazy I guess!

Just got back to the hotel from watching Daytona. Very impressed with my first experience of Nascar live. Fantastic entertainment, great noise, good close finish. Hired one of the telemetry and scanner units, fantastic listening to Logano's spotter talking him through the last few laps. Definitely recommended.
