Like most Motorsport series, it could do with terrestrial TV coverage to bring it to a wider audience. World RX is/was made for TV, a shame BBC/ ITV won’t cover it; it can’t cost too much. As such, it will remain a niche series. However; going by the reaction on Twitter, it seems it could gain some more followers – and all due to to a small 10 min segment on a popular TV programme.

At last something decent on Top Gear the coverage (although limited ) of Rallycross , I used to love the sport and this rekindled my interest such a shame that the TV production Co's cant see any money in it or am looking in the wrong places for reports - anybody know ?

Am I right in thinking that some of cars racing with May were Diesel powered ? I noticed a couple of them with puffs of black smoke as the revs increased just before the off.
Think there was a diesel Audi TT competing at Croft a few years back.

As predicted earlier in this thread,I did go to Sweden for this, brilliant weekend, just ace !

As also said above I didn't travel all the way just for this, there was 2 other events I took in over a 2 week period.

Only took me 27.5 hours to drive the 1244 miles back to Calais from Holjes.

Currently can't do pics due to technical reasons.

Being able to follow the WRXC on Quest so soon after each round has been great this year.

The Swedish round was epic, and fair do's to Timmy for attempting that lunge on the last lap of the final......even though the stewards thought it was a bit rash laugh

Still think Petter is playing the championship long game and will win again this year.

Shame we haven't got a decent British driver in the WRXC.

Watched the highlights from Hell,Norway yesterday on Quest.

Wow, the semis and final were action packed,a little too much damage going on though.

And the fella with the very long name, rolled his fiesta in the semi, kept going and qualified for the final.

It's a shame that we don't have a decent Brit driver in the WRXC these days. I'm sure Andy Jordan could get the sponsorship package together, but other than a yearly guest drive at the Lydden Hill round, he'd rather do BTCC. Doran Jr. seems to have shot his bolt, and can't string any sort of result together anymore it would seem. I'm surprised he's still got such a major sponsor with his poor form and lack of results in the past 18 months.

Watching makes me feel really old, as in addition to Doran Jr., there's Hansen Jr. and Kristoffersson Jr. and I remember when all their Dad's were competing in the ERC...and said juniors were running around the paddock in short trousers!

But then you see Tommy Rustad in there and feel better when you realise it's the same guy as drove Schanche's RS200 when he was serving his ban...
Not quite..... as Schanche was driving his Zakspeed Escort Mk2 when I first went to Lydden to watch the ERC!

Amusingly, I saw a post in the F1 section about the tyre issues and the GPDA, the Chairman of which is Alex Wurz, with Button as one of the directors....and I remember both of their fathers competing against each other in rallycross!!
