I'm looking for suggestions for an aftermarket ABS system.

We build hyrail vehicles (www.ariesrail.com.au if you dont know what they are) and have a big problem with steel wheels skidding on the railway lines. Increasing legislation states that we now have to fit brakes to the rail wheels, even though the vehicles own brakes are more than capable of stopping the vehicle!

We can set the brake pressure to the point at which it wont skid on wet rail but that means its doing almost nothing on dry rail.

So an ABS system seems like the logical option.

A quick google diddnt really produce much, other than a bunch of people with hot-rods asking the same question and being told to utilise a standard car system.

However, I think we'll need something that is programmable so that we can tweak it to suit our application.

Any suggestions or ideas greatly appreciated!

Bosch Motorsport ABS, absolutely no question. It's used on all GT3 cars and can be purchased as an off-the-shelf system, which I've done in the past. It's programmable via a laptop for tyre diameters and suchlike, adjustable in the car via a 12-position rotary, very straightforward to operate and very reliable.
