Unfortunately I can't make the Sunday which is the first time in many, many years but at least going to watch the ELMS on the Saturday.
Anyone know of any similar spotters guides for the ELMS or is it just for the WEC?
Thanks!

Just ordered my tickets through the Silverstone website and thought it would be best if I opted to collect them with it being so close to the event.
Payment has gone through and I have a confirmation email, but no where on the email does it say where I can collect from? Anybody know if it is just the ticket booths in the carpark or is there somewhere specific for me to go?

There's an office cabin between the main entrance road to enter circuit (left at the first roundabout if coming off A43) and between the main car park. If in doubt ask the stewards who are helpful and wonderful lads in my experience.Payment has gone through and I have a confirmation email, but no where on the email does it say where I can collect from? Ticket Collection will be based in Car Park 49 (on the left hand side of the main entrance)
Opening times are:
Thursday - 1400 - 1900
Friday - 0730 - 1800
Saturday - 0730 - 1830
Sunday - 0730 - 1500
So the New wizzkids of Silverstone have decided that the Pits walkabout prior to the WEC will be limited to the FIRST 2k paying punters.NO advanced notice of this change of procedure on the Ticket price website.Instead of an ADVISED change of procedure the FIRST time the site went active, No mention in the past weeks.Advanced notice is something that the so called management needed to advise, included in the Info for ticket sales before the site went active.

Ummm, it was on the website.Yes, I knew about the first 2000 and it's the first time we've ever been.
I have to say that it's been the best racing experience I've been to. Not too crowded, not too guarded, my son was even dragged into one of the af corse garages to have his photo taken with a 458. Think it might be slightly more chaotic tomorrow, and not quite as open. Managed to push my camera into various oily bits of F3 cars too. Happy days.
Oh, and the corvette sounds like it's trying to tear the planet in half. Amazing.

The Mrs has organised the grid walk and the entire weekend tbh, been great so far including excellent curry at the Memsab in Northampton. Gonna be busier on Sunday but bliss compared to F1 circus. JonRB said:
I watched quite a lot of today's ELMS live on Motors TV. It was quite enjoyable, although I confess it was more on in the background than me avidly following every nuance of the race.
Quite enjoyable?Quite?
It was fecking riveting for 4 hours, and the last 40 mins were better than any f1 race since Jenson's epic canadian adventure.
With an hour to go, 3 cars dead close for lmp2, 2 cars vieing for top spot in GTE. To have the top 3 covered by 20 seconds after 4 hours, and the winner only having a car length on the line is just epic.
Can't wait for the WEC tomorrow - so excited.
PS - for anyone new to it, it can be totally baffling trying to keep tabs on the race for 4-6 hours. What i always get my mates to do is pick a car in each class (either one you like, or just one of the top 3 qualifiers if you have no clue), and follow / support that car. Just by concentrating on 1 team, you'll know the running of 4-5 cars in that class - trying to follow the whole lot on your own is as impossible as a dolphin trying to track 1 target in the middle of a shoal of fish.
Had a great day yesterday, every year the LMP1 just get more impressive as you watch trackside, tho even after all these years still find the lack of noise from the Audi a bit strange.
The new LMP3 class look great cars, hope a few more makes appear to give Ginetta a bit competition.
Anyhow, heres my pics n vid:
