Who knows, the day was very wet. Tomorrow should be some dry running but with weather the way it is around Spa, who knows what will happen.

Id predict Porsche will be fast due to their straight line speed.

The problem Porsche had at Silverstone was tyre wear; a while into a stint their lap times plummeted! Audi and Toyota will surely know that they can't beat the Porsche on pure straight line speed at Spa (Le Mans is different as it relies more on pure engine grunt) so they'll probably try and double/triple stint if the weather allows. If it's cold I'd say that may be a no-go however...

Just back from Spa. I think the Porsche is even quicker in a straight line than it was at Silverstone. Again, the 919s were phenomenally quick and the Audis looked utterly composed and hooked-up in the fast corners. The Toyotas looked good in all respects but not as spectacular as the others in their particular specialities. It'll be a fascinating race; I'm gutted I could only make it today - would love to see the race. Silverstone was such a thriller!

Agreed. I've just watched some qualifying and the 919 looks ridiculously quick.

This is a good thing.....proper rivalry to Audi at Le Mans this year!

There was proper rivalry last year too. That Audi tortoise is very hard to beat! It's not just a matter of being quick.

Does anyone know where I can watch the race? I'm at work so tried via tvcatchup and its not there. Tried my virgin media app and I can apparently only watch motors TV on a TV. I just want to watch the race.

Just to add I can watch through the app Eurosport but there's stupid snooker interrupting the race

Hopefully Maaark's car will finish today.

I'm hoping to watch it via the WEC website as I'm visiting family this weekend. It says there's going to be live streaming of the race, I assume it's video and not just commentary.

Is anyone having a nightmare with the WEC website? I think I've paid for the race, but the confirmation messages are clear as mud and you can't actually log in until the race starts?!

Position on the sofa with snacks and cider has been assumed, looking forward to some great battles like Silverstone!

Nice detailed footage of the Audi at MotorsTV now biggrin. Not sure about TK explaining aero though. Glad to see him on the grid though.

WEC website video working for me, although the quality is noticeably poor even on my 11" laptop screen, it's probably unwatchable on a proper sized television.

Yep, mirrors built in to the front wings, how long before the other cars have them smile . #9 Audi has the Silverstone front end.

That's disappointing about the video quality. I went to subscribe on the iPad. The one day I forget my bank card!!

Uh oh. Porsche #19 out.

Maybe not, getting new bodywork in the pits. They are tough things, these WEC cars.

Watching this on Motors TV atm, but does anyone know of any live timing websites?
