Great race,
However why where the officials trying to get the Audi out of the gravel with 2 minutes to go with a bloody great tractor. Have they forgotten last years Japanese GP. The race was finished before they got the job done, why not get everyone back behind the barriers leaving just an LMP1 to hit for the last 2 minutes. Idiots.

Shame the Porsche couldn't catch the 7 Audi at the end, but what a brilliant tense race!

And the tractor going against the flow of traffic too! Unbelievable! However why where the officials trying to get the Audi out of the gravel with 2 minutes to go with a bloody great tractor. Is Motors TV showing LM24 ?
Their website is still the 2014 season, but according to the page they had the 6 hour races but not LM24 . Hopefully they will show it this year, if not there will be ways to stream it.http://www.motorstv.com/car/endurance/fia-world-en...
Absolutely fantastic racing this year. Both races have had me engrossed for the whole duration.
I was at Silverstone but I had to work today so bought the race pass on the WEC app which was excellent.
Watched the last 2 hours when I got in from work despite my girlfriend having guests over. By the end they were all hooked!
I can't wait to get to Le Mans to see what Nissan can bring to the table!

Eurosport and Eurosport 2 usually have the 24 hour between them http://www.motorstv.com/car/endurance/fia-world-en...
Brilliant race today. Watched it on the WEC app and didn't have any problems.
Also started following their periscope feed and they actually do a way better job with social media then F1 does.
Watching the speed of Porsche and seeing the downforce of Audi, Nissan must be slightly concerned. Nobody is expecting them to win and just finishing Le Mans is a great achievement, but it's clear all the teams have raised the bar.
On LMP2, congrats to Jota. Interesting that the open top was quicker than the coupes. Was hoping Strakka would be up there but it couldn't quite hook it up. Roll on Le Mans.

Except for Toyota. They were nowhere this round. Also started following their periscope feed and they actually do a way better job with social media then F1 does.

Quick question for those using the WEC app. Which commentary team do you get with it? I assume it'll be RLM?
Really superb race. I was at Silverstone and wish I'd gone down to Spa as well, gripping throughout and the correct result in all classes!
What showed the 919's massive power surplus most of all was that helicopter shot of one nailing an Audi after Radillon. Can't remember who was in the car but he closed up after La Source, held station behind, then as soon as they were onto the straight hit the button and just drove right past. It honestly looked like dispatching a P2 car.
With the way these cars are lapping within a tenth at Spa, I think it'll be won or lost in the pits at Le Mans. Which puts Audi in a good place..

Awesome racing atm. Disagree with #91 as well. Nick Tandy was too optimistic imho.
I think that's a really tough one. For me, the distance was right in the go/don't go grey area. That early in the race and with other cars right ahead, I would have gone. What I didn't like, though, was his execution - if he'd come out early and flashed his lights, he would have been fine. It looked instead like a late, unexpected dive which is never a good idea.. Hindy was certainly vocal in his disagreement with the stewards' decision!24lemons said:

I think it's quite interesting what they're doing and hope they do well at LeMans. Should be an awesome race this year.

Given that it is going to Le Mans having never once raced, doing well could probably be defined as still having a car running after 3 hours though...https://youtu.be/CKerNGiERTs

Being on the pace with Audi/Porsche/Toyota is the big hope. Everything else a bonus. Easier to make quick car reliable than the other way around. hdrflow said:
Some big flaws in his brake distribution figures but the underlying principle is sound. I didn't realise nobody harvested at both axles, and that makes a front-heavy car very attractive. The rear diffuser width is a nice bonus too, I thought they were restricted but perhaps the regulations leave it open for the tyre choice to determine.DiscoColin said:

They've tested in the US with good success apparently. They're not expected to win but even if they hit trouble being able to fix quickly (or not as the case may be!) is also good practice for them next year.Gassing Station | General Motorsport | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
