Have decided on a motorbike trip to Spa for WEC, does anyone know whether the Nissans will be running there??

Looking forward to it after Silverstone.

Sadly not, first time you will see them compete will be Le Mans.

I was planning a last minute trip over there also, unfortunately the race is on the Saturday for some reason. Shame as its bank holiday monday the same weekend so would have made a good weekend trip.

Doesn't start until half 2 though, which should help those thinking of last minute dashes

According to posters on the Club Arnage forum the Friday is a public holiday & shops will likely be closed, stock up in Blighty or France

I'd recommend this. I went in 2013. Left central London after work on the Friday, was at the circuit just after midnight to enjoy a few Belgian beers before bedtime.

Speedchills have a very cheap hotel / hostel just outside the circuit and you can be back in time to enjoy the rest of the bank holiday weekend. There was apparently a McLaren track day on the Monday, so it might have been worth waiting for that I guess....

The circuit is all open and the pit roof brasserie and area that's used for the paddock club for F1 is free to get into so you have a great view into the pits.

Obviously the cars are incredible on that circuit.

I am making my spotters' guide again for this race - although I am not going (for the first time in 8 years)

Send me a PM and I will send you a link to the Dropbox downloads.
If you are going you might need it.

I may well be going. Just getting the wife on board, selling it as a weekend trip to Brussels.

I'll be there for quali day on Friday. If I can only purchase a weekend ticket on the gate, I may have a couple of race tickets free to a good home. Will keep you guys posted. After Silverstone, I can't wait to see the current cars around Spa.

I'm definitely going, tickets and hotels all booked.

For raceday, would I be right in thinking that the best entrance and car park to aim for is at the La Source end of the circuit via the Ster gate?

When at the track, where are there tunnels or bridges to get from one side to the other?

Cheers,

DC

Better bring her to Antwerp - that will increase your chances of being allowed back next year.

Brussels is horrid (Antwerp is fab... bit biased as I live here)

So Nakajima has been taken to hospital following an incident where it sounds like he piled into the back of one of the Audis a the end of the kemmel straight. Taken as a precautionary measure as he was said to be suffering from back pain.

I always park at Les Combes, especially easy for this event - last year I only had about 50 yards to walk to the trackside!

As it's a long race, one has time to get to all parts anyway.

There are also short cuts back to the paddock through the woods from that end (at Pouhon).

Autosport reporting he's out for the weekend. Car needs rebuilding around new monocoque.

I be heading for Spa with some mates for the first time ! looking forward to it bounce
Just one question .. brought my tickets via the website and brought a parking ticket too . is this needed for all car parks or is it for 'forward parking' of some kind !?

Car looked fairly decent, must be solid. Hope he's ok for LM.

Who is looking most competitive here? Audi again?
