Planning a family jolly to Brands on Sunday for the BSB, been with chums lots of times, but this time I will have my 2 year old energetic boy with me. Usually get grandstand tickets or stand at paddock hill, but wondering if anyone has any better suggestions when visiting with someone who can't sit still for more than 20 minutes.

Brands has a play park behind the Kentagon - he can play there when he gets bored or between main races.

Take some small toys for him to play with - BSB is packed at Brands, so I doubt you get good space for a little to play and for you to view.

A little pop up tent/shield thing for £10 from Tesco etc might help.

If he wears ear protectors - get them on him.

I spend a lot of weekends at Brands with the little one, and its ok for short stints.

A long stint, make sure your car is place for him to get some rest, or a rugged push chair that gets over the grass ok, and he can sleep in.

Sun screen, umbrella, warm blanket and lots of fluids/food! Don't get caught out with the weather.

And don't bother with the grandstand - unless you have Peppa Pig on your phone, and he watches that whilst on your lap.

Enjoy.

Ears will be covered.

Thanks for your help, was considering parking on south bank and setting up camp nearby, not sure of any other locations that won't be packed but with still give a reasonable view.

Re ear protectors: IF meaning if he keeps them on!

Mine rips them straight off, so it gets noisey its hands on ears or simply we move.

South Bank: get there early, and try to book online first. Best to place to be, and most people know it.

Far better off persuading Grand Parents that they would enjoy some quality time bonding with their Grandson and don't take him at all!

Fair enough, I was just shocked by the number of children screaming in pain with no protection last time I went to Moto GP.

I would suggest that Brands is the worst circuit to take a toddler to for a busy meeting like that as there is so little space to move around. Somewhere like Donington or Silverstone would be a far better choice IMHO.

Not a fun time for that age after the first 15 mins. Also kids have no long term memory (episodic) at that age, so wait until they are 4+

Even the Moto3 bikes are louder than BSB. There's barely any difference between BSB/WSB & roadbikes with an aftermarket exhaust. The MotoGP bikes are a whole other level of loud.

I wouldn't have thought anyone would need hearing protection at a Superbike meeting.

I haven't got kids so can't comment on whether they would need earphones but Superbikes are definitely a LOT quieter than MotoGP to the point I would question it.
