Well there I was casually seeing what was going on and - it was Sunday 6.15 so put motors TV on in time to see Perry in 2nd place with the new aero!
What awful conditions but Perry held 2nd place. Excellent.

Lovely smooth driving , best 2WD car by miles.
Splitter looked like it sustained some damage though .

Cap well and truly doffed off Perry. Awful conditions. Only the "cheating" (Motors TV words, not mine) wink 4WD ahead of you.
Good news is.... the car got loads and loads of coverage and positive comments from the presenters and you did the marque proud thumbup
Well done Sir!

Where was Danny's old Sag? Was it in a different race? Might have to rewind 5 hours of recording!

Thanx for all the positive comments. It was proper wet , my best lap time was a 1:32 I have never before being that slow round Combe a full 22 seconds off dry pace. We broke a drive shaft on lap three of qually strangely changing into 6th gear so did well to qually in third. Thank you very much to Jonny Greenwood for his sage advice with a drive shaft that was 10mm short of ideal as well as Richard Hay who proberbly pulled the strings to get the on board camera and really look forward to seeing him in a TVR some time with luck.
It will take a while now to dry out all the kit biggrin ex winstanly sag still has issues with a bent steering rack now so will be out at the end of the month.

That may have been your slowest race times....but it didnt look it.
550bhp...seq box...on a new track surface...?
Great stuff.
Watch it when you can...the commentators were in no doubt as to who the Guvnor was in that race.
Well done again. 😊

Thanks again for the thoughts,it was a cracker for TVR coverage considering the weather which made the car look good. just watched it myself, the new track surface certainly holds the water. Martin it is been repeated fairly regularly over the next month or so. next showing is 4pm tomorrow afternoon. I will post up the onboard video in a day or so.

Hi Perry,
Hmm, it looks like a very clean break, if the 2 parts fit nicely back together I would say it's a brittle fracture; either fatigue or perhaps overheated component that has cooled very quickly.

Ref broken drive shaft got this back from a friend.Maybe it helps.

From Phil,
