Just stated raining here in Battersea so a nice wet track to add to the narrow and bumpy circuit.

I'm normally on my boat on a Sunday but have returned and thought I'd give a watch for the first time. What a load of ste. From the naffy looking cars to the bad coverage and ridiculous set of rules. No thank you.

They are trying so hard to talk it up, clearly that's what they are paid to do, but sorry it's rubbish

Just watched today's quali on itv - that isnt much of a track is it, going to be follow the leader by the looks of it. Shame, London has so much more to offer, just guess they couldn't use it.

I was discussing the very poor organisation to one of the team principles and he just laughed and said battersea is s work in progress and some of the other races were much better.

I thought MSVR was the organising club and they are usually very good at organising events.

It made me laugh to hear Richard Branson say that Formula E would be bigger than F1 in 5 years time. Looking at just the UK TV figures, bearing in mind the UK should be one of the larger markets, more people go to Goodwood then watch FE from their TV's at home. No matter how much talking up you do people vote with their feet and with their TV remotes. If you have no market to sell to sponsors then it won't work.

He told me that, but they are pulling a heap of cash at it, I'd say it's just not ready yet.

Made it to lap 4 and turned over- hilariously ste. The drum role dubbing is pathetic.

They have helicopter coverage but there are so many tree's you can't see anything. And you can see how bumpy the track is. This will only succeed when they get enough technology to become an F1 support race and race on proper tracks. It will never overtake F1 (I hope).

I know FE has its faults, but I'd like to see the F1 lot perform as many overtakes on a tight street circuit.

Lol ITV being the first to Piquet he's won. Only caught the last few laps, haven't seen any of the rest of the season, but it was exciting! Lack if sound was a bit sureal.

How does a track that's so bumpy they have to start under a safety car, that's so narrow they can't overtake actually get sanctioned/signed off by the fia?

From a conversation with a series engineer, they really weren't expecting it to be sanctioned when the layout was being discussed.

I've not been offered so many free corporate tickets for a London event for years. An awful lot of corporate invites not interested. I'm afraid little tempts me to cross the river and this was no exception. Not sure why but it just didn't appeal.

I caught some of it on ITV and it looks like most of the employees couldn't be bothered to turn up either and bribed their kids to go in their place. biggrin
