Tickets are cheap so thinking about going along.

Can anyone on here recommend the best place to view from?

Zones B & C still seem to have good availability.

It's not been used as a circuit before so it'd be hard to recommend anywhere as no one will know what the views are like.

Not that cheap. Twice the cost of entry to Snetterton on the same weekend, where there'll be much more and arguably better racing.

A no brainer for me, unless you want to go to London for reasons other than the racing, of course.

Although I have had little interest in this series it could be fun to see them race in the park - Crystal Palace could have, maybe captured some of the old magic?

Magic may be but not in the right location, just like Excel would not have been anywhere near as good.

I am hoping to go to London, I am off to Moscow in two weeks time.

Would rather see this lot in London than the British Banger Racing Cup at Snetterton on the same weekend. After all Formula E comes but once per year, Foxhole has racing most weeks wink

I have got tickets in the section next to the £200 seats.

Think it was £34 and they sold out in hours.

Umm....you do know that there is no seating at all?
It's all standing. No grandstand seats.

correct... we just choose an area we liked the look of.

Its probably only going to happen once and since we all only live 10 mins away it was worth it.... £200 per seat was not.

Rather dismissive from someone who once said:

"Motorsport and cars are not a hobby - they are away of life. Can be seen at a UK track almost every weekend between March and November."

Of course we've never seen a Formula E race on a proper track, UK or not. That says it all for me.

Maybe next year could be at Buckmore?

Sorry but BTCC, whilst i am happy to watch it from time to time is of passing interest to me. The driving standards are awful at times and well beneath what purports to be one of the top UK series. A nudge here and there is expected. When drivers like Plato and Neal deliberately shut others race i race out they should have their licences set fire to and shoved up their arse. What BTCC drivers are allowed to get up to by the stewards reflects very poorly on both. It is also a very bad example to set to those in less prominent series. Perhaps when one of them gets permanently damaged they might wake up but until then it seems that they will be allowed to punt their way along.

Of course your comment about Buckmore and FE just shows how little you seem to know or wish to know about it. Fair enough, we are all entitled to our in opinion, your just happens to be misguided in my view.

I doubt you will be watching tomorrow's race, but if you do i hope you will enjoy it. I know i shall .

We have tickets (the wife and me that is). I am not a current fan of the series, just seen bits of it a couple of times on TV. I am not sure the venue will be any good but its something new and different so thought it worth a shot. Its my birthday weekend so combining it with a weekend in London, a nice hotel, a meal or two and a west end show. Looking forward to doing the London tourist thing!

Got to say I think the tickets are too expensive for an unknown sport and venue.

We ordered our tickets yesterday - not far off selling out. We're doing Saturday at Battersea and Sunday at Goodwood; awesome weekend in prospect.

Too expensive? It's less than a few points at the pub. You'll spend more parking.

Would have loved to have been there to see it, real shame it clashes with Festival of Speed.

Was in the Park today (live 100m from it) and didn't realise it was on! they are preparing it already, might see if there are any cheap tickets left.
