Anyone follow this?

Thinking of heading down to Donington in July and taking the old man - we always enjoy the touring cars there and figure this will be just as entertaining.

What else is usually on the race schedule, is it a full program?

I wouldn't say I follow it, but have been to the last two rounds at Brands Hatch, and loved every minute! The trucks are always awesome, support events have included Legends racers, pickups, modified saloons, even 2CV's.

Easily a match for a day at the BTCC as far as I'm concerned (and I love my touring cars!)

I would not say I follow it either, but my 5 year old showed an interest in the racing trucks after seeing an advert so we went to the round at Thruxton last weekend.

I have to say it was a great day and the truck and pickup trucks were great to watch. I was slightly disappointed with some of the low numbers in the other races though although I would go again.

Spent the day at an absolutely soaking wet Donington yesterday.

Very enjoyable day and a pretty big crowd until mid afternoon.

The mini's were a good bit of fun to watch.

The Legends were great - really enjoyed them - Great series, great racing.

The Pickups - a little disappointed with them to be honest - nowhere near as much close racing as I expected.

Britcar - 1st race on Sunday was brilliant - it coincided with the start of the really heavy rain - so despite the race including an Aquis supercar, an Evo 9, a Boxster, two Marcos Mantis, a Golf, a Sagaris an M3 and a Lambo - what I expected to turn into a procession of a variety of different cars strung out around the track turned into a very exciting race.

Possibly a little too long at 45 minutes but great fun to watch the Evo lead in the wet, the Aquis fly round at stupid speeds before exiting into the gravel, and the Golf duelling with the Sagaris before the Lambo took the win.

The first truck race was sadly cut short by three red flags, several accidents and finally a driver being taken to hospital - but it was great to see and feel the huge things racing round!

For 15 quid a head what a great day out.

I used to follow truck racing back in the late 80's - early 90's when they used to have a british round of the european truck racing championship at brands, the mobil truck superprix. Amazing to watch the trucks power sliding down paddock hill bend.
