Formula E could be interesting but not necessarily exciting to watch when they start allowing changes to the cars/motors and we see teams making (hopefully) strides forward with the technology they're using. They could do with dropping 'power ups' and similar too though. Could be exciting to watch when they're quick enough to look fast on a proper track.

I watched it on telly - it was the sort of amateurish coverage I'd expect from club racing on Motors TV.

I don't think I've ever seen an international flagship motorsport championship where they'd finished the racing and the teams still didn't know who was Champion, and then the commentator gets on the radio to a driver and says they "think" its him.

I've only seen this on TV, and from what I've seen, I agree with all of the negative comments, ie '....milk floats with spoilers', '....that bloody noise' et al; just didn't enjoy anything, and I did approach it with an open mind. I'm surprised any motorsport fan can get anything out of this tbh.

I did wonder whether London would screw this up.

Seems to be more negatives than positives. The logistics, the prices, the signage, the jobsworths, (mouthy, deluded, gobshcensorede cockneys would really set me up for a nice day), the basic organisation, the risible disabled access/facilities (which I'd hazard a guess breached the DDA).
Doesn't sound very impressive. The real horror story is of the poor guy who was forced to spend the day between Boris Johnson and some 'tanked up Hooray Henrys'!mad Enough to turn anyone into a modern day Michael Ryan. Of course that can't be blamed on the 'event' per se, but the rest of it sounds like a horror show. And that's before anyone gets to the awful 'cars' themselves.

As a lifelong motorsport fan, an ex-racer, and a keen follower of F1 myself, the future may be clean, green and quiet, but F.E. certainly isn't it!

Thoroughly enjoyed the BTCC at Croft though. Not the best circuit on the calendar, but still an entertaining weekend. There's just something about engines...........

The organisers and promoters of Formula E really couldn't give a stuff whether it appeals to us petrol heads or not, because it simply isn't either aimed or marketed at the PH-massive.

But I'm happy to have it alongside the general motor racing mix, despite the fact that it seems to generate more whining on car forums than the whining of a full grid of electric motors!

The track was comical. Britsh roads just can't be street circuits. That said, when the race started I was surprised by the number of overtakes and enjoyed it more than any Formula 1 race I've bothered with this year. I'll stick with V8s and the BTCC.

Thing was it was round a park and not the streets of London, still do not believe it would have been any better though for it, nice to see they have employed the same rule makers as F1 to confuse everyone.

Such a wasted opportunity and yet again organisers missing the target of taking racing to a bigger audience and getting it so wrong. The cars look rubbish, sound rubbish, race rubbish and the track made the Birmingham Super Prix look like Spa.....the old one!
