Posted on behalf of Kevin Jones of GTO Racing - please spread the word:

Utter scum last night broke into a workshop at GTO Racing in Berkshire and removed the Cosworth BDG (had a David Gathercole sticker on cam cover), ZF 5 speed gearbox, Dry sump kit and suspension components from Kevin Jones' historic ex-Malcolm Patrick Ford Escort RS1600 competition car.

The car was meticulously prepared and cherished by Kevin who actively campaigned the car in events such as the Modena Cento Ore.

Additionally some other parts were stolen from a MK11 Escort in the same building together with a new pressure washer and other items.

If you hear of any parts such as Cosworth BDG engine, Dry sump tank, 5 speed ZF Gearbox or Escort suspension parts being offered for sale without documented provenance - please contact Kevin direct on the link below:

If you had such a rare bit of kit why the hell would you list it on Craig's list very suspect.

there is quite a lot of suspect historic stuff sold on craigslist in scotland - i remember a gt40 zf box advertised a few years ago which turned out to be a scam - but thanks anyway - it's worth a follow up
