What about andy neate hes been pretty quiet of late and have seen more talk of Subaru shells being built.

http://www.dailysportscar.com/2015/12/12/triple-ei...

This is also pretty interesting too from what I gather from the article ford will run there gt wec team from 888 old base the gt cars from 888 will go to amd tunning team and 888 will run alongside bmr team base. so that may of been where the story of warren scott buying out 888 came from a team alliance between 888 and bmr to match Hondas 7 cars for next year.

I have to say the rumours of jags or subarus being built, made me think a few week back that there was a possibility for rob austin,,,,,,,I guess,,if built, both would be rwd!! But I think the more we think the more potential rumours our brains create! lol

I can confirm from a very reliable source that Warren Scott has indeed bought the 888 team for £1 and paid off their debts. They will be running the MGs again for 2016 and Jack Goff will be in one of them. A decision hasn't been made on their second driver yet.
Still confident in your "very reliable source"?

Whilst the press release confirming that MG will stay in the BTCC for at least another three years didn't confirm that 888 had new owners, the full version did mention that they will be based at the BMR workshops & no longer at their old place in Oxfordshire

Well considering the gt side off 888 the z4s have gone to amd tunning and 888 have moved from there base to bmr new base does sort of sound like either a buyout or merger of the 2 teams. Also the ford gt wec team is to be run out of 888 old workshop.

Think we are in for some real surprises come 2016.

Most definitely. I can't say say who it is unfortunately but the phrase straight from the horses mouth comes to mind.

It will be interesting hearing Platos views when the MGs are beating the Passats in 2016.At least he can pop next door to see his old car.

Also on tin top Tuesday stewart lines joked about being the 4th ford driver which would coinside with his news on running the ecoboost engine and technical help from motorbase. So that might mean 3 drivers for motorbase next year Jordan and keeping on cole and Jackson.

Motorbase will need another tbl and with handy saying they will have 2 cars next year maybe rob Austin sold up taken one to handy and sold the other to motorbase, its a rumour circling atm.

No Passat's for next season, a 3rd MG all being run under the 888 banner and 3 x Subaru's being run under the BMR banner.
Apparently maybe definitely....

These btcc licences are a mess in my opinion. I thought the idea was that they were awarded/sold to a team based on their ability to complete a season and run a car(s) effectively and competitively. What's the point of that if everyone seems to be able to sell them freely to each other??

Also, how an they have been awarded to drivers/teams that don't even know what car they are going to use or what drivers they have??? Surely all that should be in place before the tbl is awarded
