Apparently promises/agreements were made regarding car prep and development that were never followed up on. 888 effectively do 4 days a week work on the car and then park it until the next race. Where Eurotech had the car stripped back between every round keeping everything perfect.
But surely that would have been the case for Plato too during the previous season, the only difference being the car's age if I've interpreted that right.

Not sure, it seemed like they were doing a lot more development when Tesco were still throwing money at the team. Last year just seemed to be a case of having 2 pay drivers and doing the minimum.

But given that Warren Scott's deal to buy 888 involved paying off debts, did they even have the money to do development on the car last year past the money Pirtek had put into running and testing Jordans car?

Mike Bushell is to make a return to the Clio Cup this year with Team Pyro, with whom he won the 2014 Championship. Again the old dreaded financial constraints monkey, allied to the big shunt he had last year had a knock-on effect to the budget for this year.

Tbh think he should keep his mouth shut tbh comes across as a petulant child blaming 888 lets not forget he was in contention for the title even at the last round finished what 5th overall which was the same as in 2014 with the civic so it couldn't have been that bad a car. Also lets be honest goff managed a victory in the car yes it was a reverese grid win but still Jordan has much more experience than goff.
He should also remember where the vectras come from that got him noticed in the btcc in the first place which was 888.

My opinion of him has gone done massively over the off season.
The MG in your username adding an extra layer of objectivity to your comments wink

Still got 4 race wins in 2014.

If captain Plato jumps off a ship, it's normally because it's sinking.

I know there's a lot of useless drivers with big budgets out there but jesus christ they've certainly ended up with the worst!
I hope Dynamics can get the parts in quick enough.

If he spent his time in lower formulas improving his race craft, I think people would have given him a break, but this is how serious he takes it:

I'm sure he just loves the attention/playing the racing driver rather than having any real interest in motorsport.

Hopefully Moffat will give him a few friendly nudges as payback for the Chevy Cruise he sold him with hidden crash damage.

It's good to see a talented young upstart being given a plum seat, hopefully he will be able to take it to the big boys on occasion.

They haven't - they could have signed Chris James
