2016 BTCC silly season

Cole and Jordan could well bring in enough money to support Jackson who is a very good development driver as well as racer.
I agree,I believe that Motorbase wanted another licence for Jordan and with the new rules that the teams have to give AG the details of the driver, budget etc by the end of October 2015 so the team thought instead of the news leaking out they would announce Jordan as a driver. After last years issues with lacking sponsors they want to get all their ducks lined up in a straight line this year in having plenty of sponsorship and make a good profit.
Cole bought the majority of sponsorship to the team last year and if it is right he signed a two year deal then with Jordans backing they will have plenty of money to run the three cars and also afford to keep Jackson in the car as will not bring so much sponsorship as the other two drivers but is probably the best driver(in a Focus).
It looks like Motorbase will have two drivers who can win the championship and have a great year in 2016.

If it is the highest two then they still have a clear advantage as a team.
I don't see how. Even if BMR had 10 cars and they always finished 10 or lower they still wouldn't win it based on that rule.DanielSan said:

From what 888 are suggesting on Twitter they will be back, and with "a very exciting line-up".
Hopefully not with that MG though.
888 have recently been purchased by Warren Scott, rumour is they'll have 2 at least semi factory supported Jag XE's for next seasonHopefully not with that MG though.
Does Warren Scott still run/own BMR? Is he planning to own as many teams as possible so they can all let Plato by (Tongue in cheek, of course!)

If you look back at page 3 of this thread you will see that DanielSan has already aired his bizarre silly season bulldust about Warren Scott and the Jaguars. As I said then, this is not going to happen.
I'm inclined to believe him as he told us we'd see the Civic tourer before anyone and it was laughed at on various forums, including by Honda employees who said it was complete rubbish. He proved them wrong. Nah, why want would Warren want two teams? The BTCC press would have reported it by now. 888 is a major name
I'm fairly certain 888 have a multi year deal still with MG sadly, so I don't expect it'll change, but I could see Smith and Goff in MGs at 888. Don't personally think I'd feel happy at BMR going forward in his position. Besides, Smith has been comprehensively destroyed by Turks and Plato this year.
I guess the XE would be nice to see, but do longer wheel base RWD cars suit the BTCC anymore, not really.
Be really interesting to see what Rob Austin gets, Volvo sounds great

My thoughts exactly, with RAR moving away from RWD due to the changes in rules would any teams seriously be considering building a fresh RWD car? I'm not sure it would get any factory backing either, China markets are causing the purse strings to be tightened at JLR.Hamish Finn said:

888 have been bought for a quid and debts paid. With the intention of running 2 Jags. The Jag deal is still 50 50 but he does now own 888. DanielSan said:

Wonder where Scott get the money from to run 4 (largely unsponsored) VWs and buy 888?

Maybe they will be doing loads of testing abroad Must admit I'd be surprised and not seen any reference to this anywhere else. Stranger things have happened, I suppose.
