2015 Race of Champions at Olympic Park
Discussion
I have had a search but can't find anything so far!
We are all familiar with the concept of ROC - however this year they are doing something a little different and pretty admirable.
They are running the (faintly un-originally titled) ROC Factor competition, where competitors from lower forumlae/club motor sport, who would not normally get exposure in the wider international motor sport scene may get a chance to compete at the even alongside all of the internationally renowned drivers.
There are two places up for grabs - one to a jury decided entrant and one to the winner of the public vote. These two will then race off for the chance to compete.
This is a really great initiative and something really worth getting behind.

Vote is there (I am afraid it is Facebook only).
Being biased (as a hillclimber) my vote has gone to Scott Moran - but I think he really does represent the spirit of what they are trying to achieve the best, as he is from a genuine club background, but a multiple champion there. But I would say that.
Anyway - a bit of fun and worth a vote (especially if its for Scott)

Just so you know we are running a Facebook comp to win tickets for this event and also have negotiated 20% off tickets for PH'ers.
For your chance to win all you have to do is
1. Like the PistonHeads Facebook Page,
2. Say which day you would like a ticket for on this post

I'm sure its fun for those in the car, but to be honest, it doesn't make great TV...going to find WEC quali from somewhere I think.
I went to one years ago, at Wembley Stadium. It was a good day out although we got very cold. I'm currently watching it live on Sky Sports F1. Not sure how I feel about the new layout - I used to like the figure-of-eight layout, but at least it means we can now see cars like the Radical which previously wouldn't have got over the crossover bridge.

It's empty
You expect the stadium to be packed like it would be for a major football game? Anyway, I'm enjoying it. It's a pity the Sky coverage isn't showing the inter-race entertainment, though, because that's as good fun as the racing itself. Terry Grant doing his usual thing, the trials motorbikes doing insane jumps, the guy on the BMW bike that does insane wheelies and stopppies, demonstration drives of famous cars or by famous drivers, etc etc.
