A bit late to this thread as recorded it and only just had time to watch.

Great to see some superb drives from Plato, Prilaux, Vettel, Massa, Coulthard and Hulkenburg. Shame the TV commentary blasted over the sounds of the drivers on and off the throttle trying to get the cars through the twisty corners.

As in the Wembley version of ROC that was a st track layout - ROC let down again by the Brits with another boring track - is it due to our H&S nonsense that we create such rubbish layouts at ROC and Formula E in Batteresea park?

There have been some fantastic ROC events in years gone past its a shame we ruin it with such s dull show its deserves better and if they have any sense it won't be coming back here.

The TV coverage on Europoort was ok if only you could mute that moron Matrtin Haven and turn up In car sound of the engines - some tremendous skill on show sadly missed by the commentary team.

I watched the Nations Cup on Channel 4 this morning (Race of Champions is on the channel tomorrow morning) and it was a lot better recorded than watched in the stadium. There was even the noise of fans!

Would think the layout is in the hands of the ROC organisers and nothing to do with "the brits"
Aside from an oval I am not sure what other layout you could fit in a stadium. Miss the bridge though.

No, I'm sure he's right. I blame Cameron. Or Corbyn. Especially for FE........

You say that, but presumably it requires an MSA track licence and I believe that Barry Guess of Sutton & Cheam Motor Club was chief marshall.

The one running at portgual had a section running outside the stadium then back in was a pretty good track. What I would love to see is the top racing drivers racing in heats in different cars on a actual race track. Run them in various cars and heats to accumulate points that go towards a starting grid for the final race in a single make car.

Something like the Tour of Britain would be good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XGrdrMQxX0

Or even the Merc 190 race at the Nurburgring https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZUavAQBwcU

Nigel Mansell tried to make a go of a Masters F1 series but it wasn't very successful (particularly as some of the drivers could no longer fit in the cars)
