So who's going? Which stages are you going to? And what's your predicted top 3?

For us its Myherin, Dyfnant and Brenig.

And it Ogier will want to make up for his cock up in Spain, with Mikkelsen 2nd and Meeke 3rd.

Can't wait! biggrin

Not going this year frown Work getting in the way!

I was out on the Dansport on Sunday and I will always chose competing instead of watching.

Which is annoying as watching the WRC round the Orme is brilliant!

Let's see if this thread can get as many comments as the Brazilian GP thread - if our home round of the WRC can't generate much interest, then the sport in this country needs major help.

Entry list is here

I understand all the issues but thats so uninspiring. Couldnt they run a classic/historic series/class alongside the WRC just to make it a little different? There are something like 25 GpN-esque Fiestas in that field? Just over 100 cars too.... Hope the weather is rotten for those going as it needs something to liven it up!

I'm off to Hafren on Friday, then Dyfnant on Saturday.....a WRC stage in the dark is sadly now quite rare - so has to be experienced.Should be good - the one opportunity to see the WRC boys in our forests. No, it's not the RAC, but it's still good to watch.

Remember that's just the internationals. The Nationals have loads of interesting stuff in them

And Skoda Motorsport have pulled their entry as neither of their drivers can win WRC2.......

Sweet Lamb is great as you can see loads from one spot. The only downer is they have reduced the size of the jumps for safety reasons!! Hafren is a proper forest stage, but I am yet to visit it.

Shame about Skoda, the Fabia is a great looking car. I see Henning Solberg has also pulled his entry frown

Look out for car 239 in the Nationals, I'll be navigating after a break from the co-drivers seat for over 10 years smile

Good luck!

I see the national seems to run quite close to the main field this year, not a huge amount of time to move around!

Anyone going to Shakedown tomorrow? I assume it's the same bit as last year?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNg5O1rNIxU

If it is, i was stood a few hundred meters down to the right from where that video is shot last year. Fast right kink after a couple of slowish corners and a gate.

Anyone recommend anywhere better, is it worth walking through the gate and finding somewhere that way or going in the opposite direction and walking down to where the cars are heading instead?

I'm arriving at my digs tomorrow afternoon and then Friday I'll be at Myherin to watch both passes and go to the Service. Saturday I'm going to Dyfi to watch both passes and Sunday I'll be at Great Orme.

I found years ago it's too much of a mission trying to get to different stages in one day. I just get to one earlyish but will not get a great spot but stay for the second pass and get a great spot. If you watch from different corners each pass it's like being at a different stage.

Chilling out and chatting to other people between is far more relaxed than rushing from one stage to the next trying to get parked and then not getting a great spot to watch from.

I'll be taking lots of photos. Perhaps we could have a photo thread after.

How comes there are not many posts on this? Unbelievable!

Yea I'm not rushing around either. I did that in Sardinia so I'm quite happy to mooch around and take it easy!

I think the organisers would prefer as many people to stay at the one stage - which is why the Nationals run in between the WRC boys. The mid/ North Wales roads are easily clogged up with traffic if you try to chase the event.

As above, I pick an easy spot in the morning, then go slightly further into the stage for the 2nd run.

Unfortunately I've injured my leg and it's now pretty clear it won't be healed in time for walking about on Saturday. Gutted frown

Does anyone want my Saturday Forest Pass? Face value £25, access to every stage on Saturday except Chirk Castle. It's a print-at-home email ticket so no worries about post.

Please PM me if interested.

Looking forward to it now. Stopping over in Rhayader tomorrow night and have decided to try Myherin.

Sweet lamb was great last year for how long you see the cars for, but have decided I dont want to see effectively the same cars in the same location again. I fancy watching from a fast open corner, hopefully with plenty of slidey sideways action!!!!
