Had a great few days in North Wales watching the worlds best once again. Walked a ridiculous number of miles, and got absolutely soaked yesterday so decided to come home a day earlier than planned. Looks like I made the right choice watching the power stage on my iPad.

Here's a few clips from me anyway

What a soggy end to Wales Rally GB! That power stage looked just as bad as Dyfnant's pm run!
Very respectful end by Ogier given the weekend his countrymen have experienced.

I got chatting with 2 family members of Davif Higgins during the morning of Dyfnant who said that he'd wanted to use his Rally America Impreza for this weekend. But hemorrhoid house sorry MSA HQ said no as it has a 2.3ltr engine in it.
He even said he'd put it in the National rally, but they still said no. rolleyes

Interesting comments from Kubica and Meeke regarding next season, here's what I took from it -

Kubica - he famcies another round of the WRC, but the financiers have pulled out. Leaving him without the budget to do a full WRC season. But could he take a step down to WRC2 and win that again after a full season in a WRCar?

Meeke- "my garden needs attention", a not so subtle answer to the question of is he going to be in the Citroen team next year. I think he already has the answer to that as usually the contracts are almost always already settled by before rally gb.
I do hope we see Kris back again next year, he's the only one that's shown the VW's can be beaten.

Be gutted if Meeke doesn't return, surely he's earned his place at the top table?

I didn't make any stages this year but did manage to limp around the service park yesterday. Weather did dampen things a bit but still plenty of people around.

Went to Myhrein and had a good day. Marshalls didnt let us beyond the spectator area, but there were plenty of good spots to be honest. Weather held off too!

If Meeke ends up without a WRC seat, then it tells you all you need to know about modern WRC. The only driver to take the fight to VW, and in a lesser car.

Good result for the Meekester. Bit of trivia, who was the last Briton to finish 2nd on the British round of the WRC? ( RAC/WALES RALLY Gb etc )

Richard Burns is the answer to that one.

Slightly cheated there as Kris mentions it in his blog post here. http://www.krismeeke.com/news/2015-11-15-a-letter-...

He also says his comments about his lawn was a joke as no decision has been made, at least not that he's allowed to say yet maybe.

nope, wrong. Burns never finished second, third in 01, and wins in 1988-2000, but no 2nd. place.

Burns finished 3rd in 2001. You have to go back to a previous era for the last British 2nd place; pre 4WD.

How did the NR4 Subaru look on the stages? First one to arrive in NZRC will be competing in 2016, will be interesting to see how it compares to the current Grp N+ and AP4 cars here.

It looked great in those colours, but even by group N standards it sounded awful. Really flat and boring! Unlike the new R5 Mirage which is loud, pops n bangs and belches flames!

Brilliant drive by Meeke under pressure and in horrible conditions. He seems to have added some consistency to his driving and is picking up solid results just by keeping it on the road! Now we just have to wait and see if Citroen chooses WTCC or WRC.

We did Brenig today, but the wind and rain was bloody awful, so we left after the first run, taking the scenic route down through Wales.

Will add a couple pics soon, but I didn't take many in the end.
