The hotels don't book up years in advance like at Le Mans. I booked 3 rooms just after the 2015 race.
I'm flying out from the US tonight. Very excited. Fingers crossed the rain will be intermittent.
When are dates released for next year? Would love to nab a hotel room at the circuit!I'm flying out from the US tonight. Very excited. Fingers crossed the rain will be intermittent.

Manthey win looks possible, they certainly aren't holding back with their drivers ...
Nah - if they were really serious then they would have deployed Bernhard, Lieb and Dumas from the WEC squad to try to add to their respective 5, 4 and 4 overall N24 win tallies respectively. This years squads are the B team for Porsche at the N24 ;-)DobboMk2 said:

You don't actually need the dates. If you contact any of the hotels they will make a N24 reservation. Best to speak to them or send a specific email rather than a web booking form. They made me book 5 nights (wed through mon) and I'm only using 4 but that's ok. 470 quid each for a trackside hotel is not bad!Now is the time to book up for 2017!

I'm going to preface this with the fact that I love endurance racing, massive fan of WEC and will be going to Le Mans this year. However....I just can't get into the N24. I went to the German WEC round last year and loved the circuit and the area but I find with 160+ cars on the track and with it being so narrow in certain places I just can't get into it.
Is this the kind of thing you have to be at to appreciate?!

I LOVE the N24 and havent been able to find time to get my arse in gear to actually go to it yet. Is this the kind of thing you have to be at to appreciate?!
Possibly love it nearly as much as Le Mans but thats a big statement. There are a hell of a lot of classes (25 I think this year?), and they are hard to keep on top of, but its just such a fantastic, tight, windy track that there is usuaully always some good action.
Plus it always rains so you get godlike performaces like this;

Only annoyance is lack of streams thorough the night when it gets properly dark so you are left with a static shot of the pitlane.

Don't get me wrong I really want to enjoy it and give it a good chance, I think I might go next year and see if that helps, but all these different classes seems so confusing!!
Do you know the track?I found that I only started enjoying it fully once I had bought an xbox and learned the circuit be default by playing forza. Otherwise its impossible to work out where anyone is.
Once you know the track well, it becomes a lot more enjoyable as you know where things actually are I found. Before that it was just a 15km random long road with no distinguising features!

The rain is hammering down now, will hopefully pass before the top thirty qualifying. If not we will have to hide in Pinocchio's all night!
Who crashed the P4/5? It was under wraps in the tent, but you could see it bent up underneath.
Ive had little luck finding out who binned it. I know it was neither Bovingdon or Harris though.Who crashed the P4/5? It was under wraps in the tent, but you could see it bent up underneath.
The car is dead though. Bent chassis
