Anyone have any info on this race? How long is it? When does it start and finish? Any particular places to watch it from, ie. grandstands? Accomodation nearby? Seems to be a lack of information on their website.

Paul Ricard isn't a brilliant circuit for public viewing, unfortunately. Have a look at this map;

As well as the start finish straight 'grandstand' you can get to the areas marked '19' (and the bits joining them, from memory). Not a lot. At the ELMS race last year the public could also get into the paddock and thus on top of the garages.

Accommodation wise, the nearby hotel is expensive, eye-wateringly expensive, so a hire car and somewhere a few kms away is best.

There's little shade and it can be very hot and very windy. Enjoy!!

You don't remember the name of the hotel by any chance do you? I've provisionally booked the B&B at Gemenos but it's not an ideal place to chill out and retreat from the heat.

Also how long is the race and what are the start and finish times?

All the info on Paul Ricard, including hotels, is here;

https://www.circuitpaulricard.com/en/page-destinat...

It would appear that the 'Grand Prix Hotel' is cheaper than the 'Hotel du Castellet'.

I don't think times or schedule have been released yet, best to check the Blancpain website for details when they are released, although they do appear to be selling paddock and grid (pit?) walk tickets.

Thanks for the heads up. You were right about the Hotel Castellet - an eye watering 940 euros basic room price for the weekend - and sold out.

The other one is much more reasonable but also sold out. I have requested to be put on the reserve list.

There are plenty of reasonably priced campsites within 5 mins of the circuit. You can either take your tent or rent a small chalet, more like a garden shed
