Last night was the Zoom Auction raising money for Gt Ormond Street. Basically those involved in F1 take photographs which are then put in a book and sold, or printed and sold at a gala dinner.

Anyone been to the Zoom Auction? Anyone bought one of the pictures or books?

Yes and I am still waiting for it to be delivered to me 12 months after I bought it.

That wasnt a reply I was expecting, I was more pondering the amount raised against the cost of raising that money and whether Zoom itself is a charity

You asked whether anyone had bought a picture or book....

But to answer one of your other questions - Zoom is a charity. I don't know what the cost/benefit is though.

I can't find Zoom on the charity commissions register nor on Companies House, although it may not need to be a registered charity if only raising money for Great Ormond Street. Looking at the website they say they are a charity project rather than a charity.

Not really sure where I am going with any of this but was just looking in to it following a flurry of publicity last week which got me thinking.
