Anyone else looking forward to Daytona 500 and rest of the season? I was a bit disappointed with last season which seemed to have more races that were totally dominated by a single driver, but still managed to watch about 60% of them.
Made me laugh that Chase Elliott in the 24 got pole. Funny how the most headline worthy driver, like Jeff Gordon last year or Danica in 2013, seems to get it! Not that it really matters at the plate tracks.
Hope it's a good one and the commentates don't have to resort to hyping-up 'The Big One' for three hours.

What a race finish!!
The closest finish in the history of the race! 200mph for close to 3 hours and 500 miles later, to be settle in a photo finish, just goes to show what great racing these guys put on. This is what F1 needs to make it exciting, there were three lead changes in the last half lap for christ sake!
If you haven't seen it and want to watch the whole race without knowing who wins, don't watch the link below.

It was the first race I have actually watched from start to finish and it was insane. Parts were very intense, think they managed a few laps with 2 rows going 4 wide! My heart skipped a beat when I saw the 20 car heading towards the infield fencing and catching a bit of air, thought that could have ended A LOT worse. In all though absolutely fantastic racing.
As much as I enjoy the racing, the inevitability of huge crashes as Talladega is getting silly, and you can't help but think some serious bullets are being dodged. The second impact Logano took in the Xfinity race was huge, a was a gnat's whisker from putting him in the catch fence.

Becoming harder and harder to actually enjoy.

Poor Carl! So championship comes down to ten laps, please not the 18.
Wonder what the good ol' boys would hate more Jimmie getting his 7th championship or Logano winning one.
Shame Crafty is not here anymore to update the Nascar news as I miss it.Wonder what the good ol' boys would hate more Jimmie getting his 7th championship or Logano winning one.
As for the race Sunday, mental accident caused by Edwards. Would have liked him to win if only to see what sort of championship wining backflip he could do. Feel maybe that might have been his only chance at the title. Wanted Logano to win most out of the 4. As it is, another 48 title and Steve Davis is coming to mind.
