Anyone have any idea what the traffic will be like tomorrow morning? Planning to arrive 9/9:30 (heading to the camping) and it's been a while since I've been to Silverstone so no idea how busy the event is or how well the roads can cope these days...

Traffic last year all weekend was a breeze as it simply doesn't attract the numbers the F1 does. Saying that you'll probably spend a weekend trying to get in, BTCC is on mind so numbers could be light.

I'd heard on BBC radio Berkshire earlier in the week snow in Cotswolds and Chilterns but dismissed that... It's mid April!!!

Should be an entertaining race / challenging for the drivers

£40 to watch the race on Sunday and pay extra for the ticketed pit walk which used to be free?

I don't think so!

Just about to set off with two eldest daughters in tow. They loved the BTCC at Brands a couple of weeks ago and are now desperate to come with me.

Will be camping at Woodlands for the night.

Youngest son and wife not interested, yet.

Your loss I suppose. If you book in advance tickets are £35 and the last few years, 2015 in particular provided six hours of some of the best racing I've ever seen. I never bother with the pit walk to be honest, it's only half an hour or so and there's plenty else to do and see.

Heading up tomorrow with my Daughter and looking forward to it.

Went for the first time last year and was great value. £20 for my ticket, Kids free with access to the paddock and Silverstone Wing that you could only dream about in F1.

Anyone happen to know if the roads in Northamptonshire have been gritted or are going to be? With the temperature forecast to hit zero tonight, I expect they might be.

I only live 5 minutes from the circuit and have been plenty of times in the past. I never buy advanced tickets as the £5 saved is insignificant compared to the potential for a washout on the day. I was happy to pay £20 in previous years but the spectacle simply isn't worth £40 and now they charge extra for the pit walk so I'm done.

Decent equipment and that's not an issue.

That said, it's beyond me why anyone would pay all that money to live like a homeless person...

True - I once camped out for the 6Nations... Not a great idea for mid Feb which was compounded by unexpected light snowfall. I ended up sleeping in the back of my car coat on in he sleeping back and running the engine once an hour or so to get heat into the cabin. Never again

No one got any pics yet?

Weather in Reading is lovely now - gone from freezing cold to grass cutting temps.

For those going tomorrow, are people aiming to get there early for the Porsche racr or not? There I quite a wait for the next track action and I'm tempted to miss it to avoid the kids getting bored?
