Is anyone able to comment on the state of the car parks is in this weather? Are they all gravel now or do I need to go in a car suited to dealing with a muddy field?
I went there Classic car show last summer the car parks to the right hand side of the track were fine. However remember Silverstone classic is a huge event with massive numbers attending as I understand it the attendance for the event now is drastically lower (shame they don't do it in Aug bank holiday like they used to and the main race on Sat IIRC going on until 10pm I drove through snow to get there this morning, got a bit wet and cold there, came home with slight sunburn.
Parking was on gravel/asphalt.
Shame Silverstone is a big naff for viewing live, they really need more TV screens around the circuit to see what's going on, only a few spots have that.
Went on the pit walk today too (it's free on Saturday), by the time I got around 60% through staring at the cars, security was pushing everyone out, was only an hour and flew past. Looking forward to the final race tomorrow,

Just about to set off with two eldest daughters in tow. They loved the BTCC at Brands a couple of weeks ago and are now desperate to come with me.
Will be camping at Woodlands for the night.
Youngest son and wife not interested, yet.
You do know that he forecast is zero degrees over night? Will be camping at Woodlands for the night.

That said, it's beyond me why anyone would pay all that money to live like a homeless person...
Had a canny day out yesterday, despite the weather doing it best spoil the show. After being a year since I last saw the WEC, you forget just how jaw dropping those cars are not just for the performance but the level of detail in them.
The pit walks for both the ELMS and the WEC were packed from end to end and it was great to see how many families were there as well as the youngsters really seemed to enjoy what was going on.
Anyhow, here my vid and pics from the day, the first few mins show how bad the weather was at the start of FP3. Also has the Quali and race from the ELMS.

I was at my club's rugby match yesterday. I came back, worked on the video and then put the BT Sport recording on at around 9.30pm. I got to bed gone 1am.
What a thrilling event.
The first hour was full of incident. The cars looked great. Just the right size for Silverstone. I feel a bit tired at the moment and have just had the 'it's your own fault' statement from my wife.
Well worth it.

I always think of rugby as my main sport. My lad plays for our local team, and was captain before a couple of injuries put him out for all by 7 matches. But would I be considering going to Spa to watch a rugby match? Now ELMS, not that's somethings different.
We won 52:5 yesterday. I can hardly speak today for all the shouting.

One good thing about ELMS is that you don't have to avoid the TV so as not to have the result spoiled.

The speed differential was just ridiculous!WEC is definitely miles above any other motorsport at the moment for watching in my opinion. Its fantastic.
In case people haven't seen it, the winning Audi has been disqualified for excessive wear on their underfloor wooden legality panel.
