F**k. Forgot this was on.
Me too The live tv is shown on the big screen,so I SAW the interview but there's no audio....
I only found out a few weeks ago that Germany has 2 rounds, had never heard of Estering or Buxtehude before then.
It's near Hamburg, only about 450 miles from Calais.
Tip for anybody wanting to go.....Get there early.
On Sunday the throng wanting to get in at opening time of 7am numbered thousands.

Back in the old days of the Euro Championship, Estering used to be the final round of the championship, and it used to be one of the rounds that the Rallycross Trust used to organise a coach trip to. We used to such fun on those trips, often with a core group of people going on each trip......but, although, I managed to make one of the trips to the Irish round, and a few time to Holland for the Dutch round (that used to be a monumental piss-up) the German round always seem to clash with something else...and I never managed to go.I've been following the sport for over 40 years, and as I said, one day maybe......
I don't know if it got shown on tv but in Q2 ,there was the bizarre sight of all 4 Hansen Peugeots
in the same heat ,up against Block.
Also , there was 18 supercars listed in the programme but I counted 27 I think.
There was 2 extra Polos, at least 3 extra Fiestas, the Beetle that goes to some rounds, Galli in the Kia,
the Finn with the Mitsubishi Mirage and the MINI.

Just read in Motorsport news that Silverstone is taking over the WRX British round and will build a circuit suitable on the Stowe area.
Lydden is THE home of RX.....
That's a real pisser - and stty Silverstone of all places!!Lydden is THE home of RX.....
Sadly I suppose it was enevitable given the crowd situations at last 2 x WRC at Lydden. With the TV exposure, and WRC format, Lydden is just not big enough, with good enough access for the crowd levels. Sadly, WRC will promote the 'fake' built for TV 'circus' that we see elsewhere.
If it is from this year, then I doubt I'll go to Silverstone, which will be sad, as I've only missed one ERC/WRC event at Lydden Hill since 1981
Edit: Just seen its from 2018 onwards, so this year will be the last at Lyddden

Lots of WRX news to share out of Motorsport news.
Guy Wilks has a full season confirmed in a VW Polo.
Reinis Nitiss has got a drive in a 3rd EKS Audi.
Peugeot Hansen also running a 3rd car, for Kevin Hansen.
Andrew Jordan gets a Fiesta drive in Lydden.
And the Renault/Prodrive partnership for 2018 and Guerlain Chicherit to drive.

Went to Hockenheim at the weekend to get my fix of WRX on foreign soil.
Racing action was awesome ,especially as it was sprinkling with rain, only slightly spoilt by the WRX having to play support to the DTM which
Germany seems to regard as something very special.
I missed Q1 and 2 due to them being on Friday ,problem for the circuit being that they have to spend 15 minutes converting
it from a full circuit to a WRX suitable circuit ,moving lots of corner tyre bails into position and generally reshaping it.
Mettet ,Belgium next Sunday.....

2 weeks,2 rounds of WRX in 2 countries.
Went to Mettet,Belgium this weekend, good couple of days racing.
Arrived there 3am Saturday, got max 3 hours sleep in the car, watched RX all day, decent sleep Saturday night in tent outside a tyre shop, watched RX all day, drove home.
My usual terrible standard of pics from Q2

More stuff from Mettet.
Left and right view from main spectator area, the whole track can be seen from this banking and I was stood directly opposite a big screen too.
Thoroughly recommend going,it's the nearest venue from UK,only 2.5 hours from Calais, closer than Loheac in France.
Some other pics.
Touring car class Fiestas.
And the lunch break entertainment.
