Another vote for the DBR9 here (the Spitfire of racing cars) but lets not forget its spiritual predecessor

The Ferrari 360 (Cup?) cars also looked great (the series where it was mostly 360s and 911 GT3s).

60s, 70s and 80s F1 cars are cool but I don't have a particular car in mind. The Loti in JPS livery looked pretty cool.

Group B rally cars were cool but I actually preferred the look of the Group A cars and I love the Stratos, 037, Manta and mk1/2 Escorts but am too young to remember them being driven in anger. Here are a few of my favourites from the 90s.

The BTCC Texaco liveried Sierra RS500 Cosworths are also pretty iconic

and I also love the mid-90s BTCC/DTM cars where pretty much every rep car was represented on the grid, particularly these ones:

but probably none more so than the Old Spice Alfa 155 as driven by Gabriele Tarquini

1990 Lola Indycar with speedway aero has long been a personal favourite. Ridiculously skinny wings, skinny suspension and skinny cockpit for super low drag.

It's not just the livery that looks great, but the airbox split either side of the cockpit rather than above it gives it an unusual low profile.

Given that I'm not a huge fan of American muscle (although there are a few notable exceptions) That is one of the best looking Yank motors I've seen... That is a COOL looking piece of kit... (feck I think I may be losing it....)

Yep no doubting they were a damn sexy bit of kit, just a shame the performance didn't match the looks.

'Performance' was amazing, reliability let them down.
I guess that makes their performance less than perfect though...

They managed Pole position against Mclaren F1's!

Just love the gulf colours on a gt40

The Radisich Mondeo was a great looking car considering its bland underpinnings.

This usually gets a good reaction (and quite a lot of 'I had one just like that 20 years ago' - no, no you didn't)

Epic car and a really cool story. Very shortened...

"I wager you can't beat the blue train to Calais"

"Not only will I beat it to Calais, I'll be in my Gentleman's club in London before it gets into Calais. However, I'm finishing my G&T first."

I must look at a Peterson replica once a week and come to the conclusion I'm not quite old enough yet.
