Can anyone advise on requirements & procedure for competing in France, probably hillclimbs & sprints.

Thanks.

See Appendix 3 "Competing Abroad" in the Blue Book
In particular, but not exclusive:
Have a National'A' licence
Know that the event is an FIA International, or is on the "Authourised Foreign Participation Calendar" of the Federation Francaise du Sport Automobile.

Bonne chance!

Hi John

Thanks for pointer. We are emigrating to France so I was looking at competing as a local (?!?).

I only have a National B, but will look into the possibility as a UK competitor in the short term.

Cheers

Looks in the PH archives from last year for Charlie Martin's reports on running in the French hill (mountain) climb championship.

I'd suggest just dropping Charlie Martin a line on Twitter. Friendly bunch, hillclimbers

The Whitsun half term week is book ended by 2 great hill climbs at St.Gueuno and Pommeraye with a big English contingent present. If you can get over to either you'll get answers to all your questions and some good Motorsport thrown in to boot.

Kevp,
Going native?
You will have to give up your UK National 'B' - you can't hold licences from more than one ASN - and get one from the Fédération Française du Sport Automobile, the French MSA equivalent. You could start here: http://www.ffsa.org/Pages/home.aspx
