Me too, I guess we'll see! Bet he won't be whining about road position anyway. wink

As much as I'd love to see Paddon win again, I don't think the I20 is quite there on pace yet! Hope I'm wrong though! Will be interesting to see how Meeke gets on with a very favourable road position wink

Meeke vs Latvala will be an interesting comparison to see. smile

It will also be interesting to see whether the stages sweep and favour the later cars on the road or cut up rough and favour the early ones - apparently the roads are very soft after all the recent rain they've had.

Meeke leads at mid day service with 11.5 seconds from Ogier (expect road position complaint from him)

top 10 after SS4
K. MEEKE 44:03.6
OGIER +11.5
SORDO +14.6
TANAK +19.9
LATVALA +19.9
PADDON +22.9
MIKKELSEN +24.2
NEUVILLE +40.8
LEFEBVRE +48.9
OSTBERG +54.7

Paddons rally is over. Car completely burnt out. looks like the grass around the car caught fire after his roll
Gutted for him.
https://twitter.com/RallyingUK/status/733675858867...

questions coming if Hyundai have a car available for the next round as apparently they only have the 3 new shape cars at the moment?!

Good road position or not Meeke is going well. Hopefully the stewards look at his time for SS5 again, as there was no way he should be given one 45 seconds slower than Sordo, who is also driving well.

Live stages on WRC+ at 7pm!

hard to see exactly what happens, looks like he's a bit too sideways entering the corner behind the bank and maybe clips something at the rear of the car before sending him across the stage down into the bushes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAVJwtXygtY

pictures of Tanak's car shows front right of the car completely destroyed so he's likely gone in to the bank head/side on before being punted down to where Paddon is off.

Meeke has had his time corrected and now leads Ogier by 35.2 seconds going into the street stage, Which I'm going to miss as I'm in work until 7! (never mind, will catch up at home later thumbup )

Another angle of the Paddon crash. Car just bounces out of the rut and after that theres no chance of making the corner.

Quite enjoyed the tight and twisty street stage, great to see so many fans watching!

Bugger, that wasn't part of the plan! Gutted for him, the car may have been repairable if the grass hadn't caught fire from the hot exhaust. He and Tanak both said they just got spat off into the bank by a big hole in the road that wasn't there on the first run, Ostberg also had a close call on the same corner but IIRC said he saw the debris in time to scrub off some speed.

Surprised that nobody was down the stage trying to slow the cars after Paddon's off, I guess everyone was just too pre-occupied by the fire? Looks like Solberg was lucky not to have his car up in flames too..

https://youtu.be/B6j9qk_R5v4

Meeke extends his lead this morning biggrin

While Neuville runs out of fuel on 11..
