Could you also add the cars, I saw the Chevron a couple of years ago and that was stunning.

The Jag run yesterday was exceptional - that's how you hussle a car.

Looked like the Penske Indycar had some engine issues, so I wonder if it had been running clean if he'd have squeaked past Justin Law's time? Was certainly a competitive shootout this year. 6 wins now for Justin Law.

I find that list fascinating and shows that the old school kit are still epically quick/ and currently supreme beating Gobstopper 2 and anyone else.

It's great to see that old 27ltr behemoth going up / drifting the old girl. Its value must be eye watering but it's a race car and being driven as was intended great to see.

Justin Law always fantastic and great to see he's usual group c stuff being driven with such commitment. I think the Heidfeld time could be beaten by the current crop of top BHC contenders if any of them got the chance but it's unlikely to happen.

Olly Clark said they were not invited back this year. Anyone know why?

I'd been talking to Matt and Olly about it beforehand, we kind of reckon it's just because the organisers don't want the same car turning up year after year and winning it each time, they like to get variety if they can. If you look at the list, nobody has won it more than two years running in the same car - Heidfeld did it three times on the bounce, but in different cars. I spoke to Olly on Monday, and looking at this years times, he'd been pretty confident he'd have been in with a very good shout wink

They're hoping to get an invite for next year however, as they should have their new Gobstopper III built by then. That's going to be something really rather special smile

yeah could be. Just had an idle thought that maybe it was because Subaru official were there with their IOM/Nurburgring car and didn't want that getting shown up.

Nice Scoob by the way. Got a build thread on it?

Nah, Matt and Olly have strong family ties with Prodrive who built that car, so I don't think there'd be any animosity between them. Mark Higgins was there last year in the IoM car and they all got on happily enough.

Thanks for the compliment, she does OK for a 20 year old! I can't remember what info I put up about it when I first signed up on here. Most of the work has been done in the last 10 years by RCM, hence my ties to them.

It really isn’t a conspiracy. Goodwood don’t want repetition they like variety as do us spectators. Take for instance Andy with his McLaren F1 GTR some years he gets an invite other years he doesn’t. It depends on the theme and keeping the lineup reasonably fresh.
