WEC Nurburgring - 24 July

It's 3 weeks away now. I'm going this year and can't wait. Making a long weekend out of it, going on Friday and coming back Tuesday. it is the first time I will have some time in that area and, yes, I have booked a lap of the 'Ring'. Can anyone recommend other must do things in the area for the Saturday and Monday? We (family, including 2 kiddies, 11 and 9) are staying on Cochem so happy for recommendations in that area for the Monday. Planning on exploring the ring area on the Saturday.

Went to the Old Timers GP 4 years ago and we did the tour one day and the museum (Ring Werk?) another day.
