Hi Folks,

OP Here.

Just to say thanks for the suggestions a while back. A number of you got in touch with some great ideas and I've tried to follow up with all of them. The first offering I have to show you is the teaser for a series behind BTCC team 888 Racing. Have a look at the FB page and do get involved. We have some interesting developments which I should be revealing in a week or two.

I'll let you see the other projects as they happen.

May be worth contacting Westbourne Motorsport with regards to the Michelin Clio Cup smile

Great championship with lots of close racing...

How about a reality TV show following a group of racers in their first steps into Motorsport at decent well publicised events? Could be done in the style of Made in Chelsea/TOWIE to attract all sorts of audiences, including those who aren't into Motorsport or have many brain cells...

Or can be a more real documentary series for Channel 4 showing all the highs/lows?

If you want to have a look at Speed Hill Climbing, the FIA European Masters is this weekend and will be broadcast over the internet.

The sport at national and international level would be a decent highlights package proposition

Having made my first visit to British Autograss championship round this year my gob was well and truly smacked. Wheelies off the start? Oh yes- and wheelies down the straights too. Huge sideways action and spectacular offs. Check it out .

Having seen club level and international circuit racing ,also rallying , rally cross , speed hillclimbing and drag racing this season - autograss and the Euro Nationals at the Pod were the undoubted highlights and the people there were interestingly diverse too...

A few suggestions

Behind the scenes of the GT Academy which finds professional drivers from playing a playstation. This would be great if it could happen in the UK but would require many backers.

Visiting private car collectors speaking to them about there collections.

Behind the scenes of different motorsport factories. M Sport did this a few years ago.

Classic v Modern. Group B car up against a modern WRC in the hands of a professional driver. Could do old F1 cars against modern super cars as well.

How modern road and race tyres are made. Visiting the factory and getting behind the scenes.

Finally what about following female drivers or crews in Motorsport.

Sorry but perhaps better with the helmet off

Honestly have never heard of it until you mentioned it.

Perhaps it is just me but I think a woman only Formula is wrong.

You want woman to be given a chance against the men.

Back in the day Michèle Mouton was able to fight toe to toe with male rally drivers in the dangerous Group B.

Most male F1 drivers have the build of a woman now with the extreme weight loss involved.

Can I be there when you tell Alonso he looks a bit girlie please?

But you're right - in the days when we had the much missed British F3 I'd walk down the pit lane and see a procession of 2/3 scale humans , all looking about 15 but wearing race suits and being clung onto by adoring and gorgeous young women. They would then drive as if they were immortal.

Gah, sorry folks, I keep forgetting that since the Mods moved the post I don't receive alerts when people post! (V. Frustrating that BTW Mods...)

A lot of good suggestions again - Funny that someone should mention Boss...

Thanks to whoever forwarded my details onto the Michelin Clio Cup, I'm off to Silverstone tomorrow to see about what we can do there.

I'm all for Women in Motorsport (And for telling Alonso that he looks a bit like a girl). I've tried to pick up on the female motorsport niche a couple of times but the people at the BWDRC never seem that bothered in talking to me unfortunately. It's a shame because it's a definite area of interest.

I'm trying to keep up with the suggestions that people are emailing to me too, sorry if I haven't responded - it's a bit manic over here as we're on the build up to MIPCom in Cannes and everything I have needs to be sales ready by then. I will eventually get back to you though.

Cheers!

What about eSports series such as http://www.neo-endurance.com/.

Motors TV have the British Sim Racers Touring car series at the moment which seems to keep being renewed. Might be worth talking to whoever is broadcasting NEO.
