Anyone but the Hondas
yep.....anyone but them
Why the Honda hate?, Neal yes but I've thought sheddons drove quite clean this year
Because he's been encouraging people off all year. He's happy to let Neal and plato take the dick dastardly role but he's just as bad. Jordan, Tordoff, Jackson all are considerably cleaner and depend more on racecraft than punting. Credit to sheddan for a clean drive in the last race to win it though.
Jackson is cleaner .. Hahahaha, he's quality alright but likes to shove that ford into little gaps

I've no issue with any driver pushing into gap where one exists, the honda's make one as opposed to waiting until one appears. Plato is no better.

He looked proper winded and quite scared as he came to a stop and all the other cars were going past him.

Maybe getting a bit old for all this ?

The rover did seems to come towards him a bit but it looked like he had space, just seemed to drift in to the side of the rover.
Honestly just looked to me like he was keeping his hands away from the steering wheel in case someone drove through his car.

On a side note, the Ginetta Junior race was the best race I've seen all season, absolutely fantastic!

May be a massively stupid question but how did Jordan win the independent title but Matt Jackson came above him in the overall standings??

My thoughts

- In partial defence of Tordoff and ignoring his strange interview the BMW has never done well at brands GP circuit, commentators mentioned that BMW have never won so was always facing an uphill battle. But all in all I don’t think he deserved it, after all he only won two races and it was all about consistency with a huge amount of non-podium finishes with most of these being much lower than 5th with his form pre Brands poor enough

- Shedden was the deserved winner of both the weekend and championship, while I’m not his biggest fan due to some of his pushing antics (from hanging around with Matt Neal too long) he was the hungriest driver and drove very clean at the weekend. His move on Tordoff was faultless, luring him into a false sense of security with an earlier dummy and then clean by. The fact that the Honda is either very quick or not quick at all depending on the track is testament to his driving skills that he was able to win the championship haven had to suffer some poor weekends

- It’s a real pity Subaru missed that weekend earlier in the year, if they had picked up a few points then Turkington would have had a better chance, once again he proved what a class act he is, I only remember him being involved in one inappropriate move all year, really stuck it to Plato, I have a feeling Plato may not want him there next year

- Matt Neal got his just rewards (glad he is not injured), even this weekend his driving was terrible, he even managed to break his front bumper camera at one stage with a big pointless lunge and caused that big crash which ruled Collard out of the championship (don’t think he would have won it anyway). Time for him to hang up his boots and let the well-funded team bring a real challenger to Shedden

- Dan Welsch is a complete joke, we may all laugh at Warren Scott in the gravel again but who put him there, Dan Welsch did! who then decided to join him in the gravel trap a few laps later and nearly cause the race to finish under a safety car. No doubt this joke of a driver will be out will his begging bowl in a few weeks looking for vulnerably sucker fans to fund yet another year of him continuously crashing his car into tyre walls and other competitors.

- Ollie Jackson, looked on the pace hovering around a top 10 all weekend, hopefully the damage isn't too bad and we will see him back out next year.

Looking forward to next year again, and fair play to ITV, not many free to air tv stations out there dedicating so much time to motorsport.
Well said, certainly Turkington has showed his pure class and although JP is so much more likable these days he got well and truly beat by Turks. Still find it odd that Subaru were able to get a free pass to semi bend the rules to be competitive though, i mean christ once they got the special bits even Warren Scott got into the top ten at one point!! That was some special upgrade!!

So on balance of Subaru being allowed to cheat a bit to keep them happy i think it good Turks didn't steal it at the last.

I'm sure Welch put Scott into the gravel in the last race as well..

The points earned for leading a race, pole position and fastest lap aren't added to the total for the independent title. Jordan hasn't had as many top finishes but always seems to score points, Jackson finished out the points a fair few times.

The independent scoring is only one step away from the old class system when it comes to being confusing and pretty bloody stupid to be honest.

Good day! Did my first pitlane walkabout too, went to Ollie Jackson first! Nice bloke haha.

Would have loved the other Jackson to have won it but his luck is terrible. Well done shedden!

All the talk of "getting your elbows out " is a fair indicator of what is accepted in the BTCC .
To me this means a bit of side to side through the corners is ok .
What is common from Shedden ,Plato ,Neal etc is the boot up the bum just before the apex of the corner

Exactly. Rubbing door handles is very different from a shunt from behind in the braking zone or on the apex.

Shame sheden won, he couldn't even drive at the Revival without ramming someone nono

So only 3 days to go before Brands Hatch GP biggrin

Looking at the championship, I'm fully expecting it to come down to Race 3. I'd love to see Sam win, but I'm going to stick my neck out and say that it'll be Gordon Shedden winning as he seems really fired up. At least the weather forecast is looking dry!
I'm impressed.

How so? It's pretty straightforward to be honest with no bonus points to bear in mind - simple top 15 Indy drivers score points.

I fail to see how that is in any way confusing.

Just to say, thanks for the good wishes chaps. Shame we didn't end up with some better results but at least moved the car on into the next group and shown we have the pace as a team!

Fingers crossed I'll be back with AmD next year as I feel like we have unfinished business!

Also, I've never understood the bloody independents points system either, on the face of it it's simple but it always seems to come up with an odd ordering
