Agreed Matty - this is still very much PMR the backing will be in the form of shells/parts in exchange for running the model most likely. That's a good advantage for them though as that can be a chunky cost.

Interesting as it means Abbot or Newsham aren't getting a drive.

Senna Proctor in a Vauxhall clearly not a fully backed works team.
Not exactly shone in Clio cup and needs another year IMO

Cammish has signed for another year of Porsche cup AND Supercup too, hasn't he ?

According to last week's Motorsport News.
Yes, he is doing Carrera Cup and Supercup. Supercup will take priority, so he will miss the Snetterton round.

"BTCC series director Alan Gow has clarified that an amendment to the TOCA BTCC Licence (TBL) rules for 2017 will prevent teams from moving licences now that the series’ entry deadline has passed."

Just heard that Tom Chilton has had a seat fitting with Power Maxed Racing. Apparently he's going to try and race BTCC alongside his WTCC drive!

Always found him irritating, more mouth than talent.

I don't mind him even his first race where he wasn't afraid to rough up tim Harvey, he also done some wicked drives in the Honda civic and the focus before going to the wtcc. Would be a welcome sight back in the btcc imo.

Shredded Wheat are the main sponsors for Motorbase with Jackson confirmed as driver. No BTCC.net article yet so faceache will have to do for now.

Depper's name is against a Eurotech car in the post up ^^^^^ there but it's not definitive list.

They were a personal sponsor of Jackson last year. I wouldn't read much into it.

Tom chilton back in the btcc with pmr don't mind him and he has experience on getting a car to the front of the grid back with the focus in 2009.

I wonder what this means for Newsham? I was looking forward to seeing him back full-time again - hopefully he appears elsewhere on the grid now.

Newsham did post on his Facebook page a couple of weeks ago he was still trying to find the budget for BTCC. I'm assuming his original plan was to be back at PMR but that's out of the question now.

Be good to see Chilton back, if the cars good then it'll be another big name fighting up towards the front.

One of the most overrated drivers ever, not a patch on his brother.

With the amount racing he has completed with top teams costing mega £s he has underachieved on a massive scale so wont expect anything major from him next year.

On the other hand it will be very interesting to see how he transitions back to the BTCC from his years at the WTCC which is a very different type of race series with very wide tracks, long straights, fast wide corners, relatively small number of entrants and very little rubbing.
