So he is retiring at the end of the 2016 WEC season, have to say I have enjoyed his time in F1 as well as WEC shame there aren't more like him

I didn't expect this. I thought he'd be doing WEC with Porsche for a few more years.

Herr Webber is going out at the top of his game which has been carefully crafted throughout his Motorsport career. A handshaker of Jackie Stewart the master of shrewd money management. He will be a brand ambassador and live an enchanted life to which he fully deserves.

He was VERY open about his reasons for going - far more so than others have been

Thanks for sharing that, as ever Mark Webber gives a great interview you always feel he is being very honest / open about stuff that other divers don't share so much.

His book is a great read if you want to find out about a lot of the stuff going on behind the F1 facade ( I really enjoyed that book).

I always liked his refreshing honesty!

And leaving at the top is always the best way (unlike countless others)!

Hopefully we may get to see him more on Channel 4 - he's much better than a certain former team principal. laugh
