Hello,

I am looking into going to Rally Monte Carlo in January but not finding much useful information... has anyone been and can recommend stages etc? Also any decent related websites would be useful!

Have been to Wales Rally GB every year since 2001 but only been to 1 abroad (Germany in 2005), was only 14 at the time so didn't really get involved in the planning side of it!

Hi, we are doing our 2nd Monte, and with the new cars it's going to be bloody amazing!

I think most of the route is new, so until the stage maps are released I can't say too much. All I know is that the Col de Turini will be busy as always, so we are planning to go to the other stage!

Nice! Yeh the new cars one of main reasons I'm planning to go, should be much improved next season!

I've been twice a while ago (friends still go every year). First year we hired a car and stayed in BnBs - was ok but lots of driving and some early starts / late finishes. Second time we hired a motorhome and travelled the day / evening to the stage for the following day, drove through the stage to find good parking and watching spot then break out the barbie and beer/wine - much better and have continued this way in all subsequent visits.

Am only 25 so some may not let me rent a motorhome due to age, I also plan to go into Italy etc too after rally so would get expensive! Plus some nice roads around there to drive so ideally be in a car!

Are you flying and driving? If so check to see if you are covered for crossing borders as I got stung on my holiday earlier in the year.

How bloody good does the 2017 I20 WRC look and sound?!

Would be driving down, just drove to Germany this weekend gone including a sneaky trip to the Nurburgring I didn't tell the gf about until we turned up haha.

And yeh looks awesome next year, hence the main reason for wanting to go....shame about VW though!

Yeah was gutted about Vw, seems Mikkelsen is still trying to get one for Sweden.

Stage maps are finally available for Monte.
