And Sordo on 6.

Great day watching the cars slide around in the snow/slush! Tanak and one of the R3 Clio's was epic around the long right hander on 6!

Shame that even after last night's tragedy there was still many brain dead spectators, and the police are beyond useless at crowd/parking control.
Been following you and Luke on FB, more pics needed though smile

Looking forward to watching the highlights on RB tv soon. Been a long time since I watched rallying, I think the cars look like 21st century group B finally, which is no bad thing.

As a Yaris owner I'm routing for them of course, so when driving mine all those pesky Fiesta ST kids doff their caps. Can you doff a cap that is on backwards?

Awful news about the spectator, finally Rallying gets some publicity but of the wrong kind. The new cars are fab, the stages are fabulously treacherous, loving it.
Unfortunately even an event as big as The Monte , you can allow for everything except for the stupidity of people. Having said that may he rest in peace.

Fortunately for the sport at least, it's happened on a weekend where there's only one focus in the news. I have even seen or heard the rallying mentioned in news I saw yesterday.

Why? So they can be shown up by the current gen of racers who suit the cars better than the old flat out at any angle drivers? The only racers I think would be competitive if they had the chance would be the likes of Loeb, Burns & Martin. All tidy drivers that proved the McRae style of chuck it about wasn't the fastest, but it was good to watch! biggrin

Evans seems to have got his set up and tyres fixed today! 3rd fastest on SS9 and quickest so far on SS10!

Thierry leading so far with 1minute over Ogier

So Neuville's taken another 15 seconds off Ogier this morning already ?
Can't say Ogier looks comfortable, confident or happy with the Fiesta. There's a couple of YT videos featuring flat in 6th corners where the Hyundai of Neuville, the Yaris (and Breen) looked quicker/more committed .

Corners (including hairpins) where the Polo would've been chucked in last year with front looking completely hooked up, have seen the Fiesta washing out in time consuming understeer, followed by messy oversteer. No doubt he'll get a handle on it, but the Monte (even more so this year) is about as tough a baptism of fire (ice & snow) as you could get.
But if you think how long VW and Ogier spent developing the Polo around Seb, and compare that with how long he's spent behind the wheel of the Fiesta developing it, it's hardly surprising it's proving a struggle to adapt to.

Neuville on the other hand looks utterly at ease and showing the sort of massive commitment usually seen from Ogier. That Hyundai must be good ! !
JML looks SO relaxed, the haunted, stressed (have to justify my actions/place in the team/measure up to Seb O) look has gone ! Even when things were going pear shaped yesterday morning before the first stage, he was calm, cool and unflustered. Just lovely to see him happy again. And whilst the Yaris isn't pretty, it looks and sounds fantastic on the stages.

Very, very impressed with Breen, likewise Evans (though he slipped up in stage 4 ? yesterday)

Silly mistakes aside, looks to be Neuville's for the taking. But this is the Monte, and we all know that things can change/go pear shaped in the space of one corner ! !

This red bull coverage is fantastic.
New cars look incredible in high speed bends.

I'm excited about Wrc again! After 12 years away!

So good not having to listen to Jon Desborough bleating on like the WRC+ live stages!

Very unlucky. Must be out as at least 4-5 cars have gone past him and finished.

Supposed to be suspension. frown

Ogier has more jam than a Supermarket biggrin

Sat down and watched it on Redbull TV today and was very impressed. I have not watched the WRC since the evo's and STI's left it. Love the look of the Yaris and the cars sound good too! Lots of turbo chatter plus pops and bangs. Makes the current F1 seem a tad dull.

Watched all the Red Bull TV coverage so far and it's good. Enjoying the rally so far. Gutted for Neuville and Meeke - happy to see Elfyn winning some stages! Shame it's looking like an Ogier win at the moment... although if he keeps going off maybe not!
