Well he'll be getting his first ever F1 win under his belt at some point in 2017 then. Watch his driver stats improve immeasurably.. lucky boy, bet Nico was on his Christmas card list.

Who gets Number 1 slot? Lol
Just needs Bottas to come home ahead of Hamilton in Auz to see the partnership begin to unravel. Or, yet another failure on Hamilton's car....hmmmmmm wonder what the bookies would give me on that??

Nope he'll just be so happy to even be in that Merc Bottas i'm sure will play it safe, happy to pick up 2nd's and be a good team member and if Lewis has a bad day or car breaks Bottas knows he'll get his first ever win.
Then for him hopefully come 2018, they will keep him on. (doubt it though), worst thing he could do is try to risk ever clashing with Lewis, if the Merc is still the most dominant car then its WDC number 4 for Lewis.
Bottas will be a lot easier than Nico and Nico was never a MVP.
Maybe in 2018 Merc are no longer dominant and they sell up and maybe hit Le Mans again. Can't ever imagine Merc wanting to come 2nd or 3rd in WCC.

So the Lewis Hamilton fanbois now know who's picture to put on their dartboard.

wink

I'm predicting that at some point in the year someone is going to state that Lewis's latest implosion is down to Toto favouring Bottas because he is his manager....

I am a fan of Bottas and feel he will be better than many people think.

To be fair he really HAS to be good as he is only on a one year deal.

Obviously he could be a long term driver or a stop gap for a contract free driver for 2018.

Toto is very open about why he's booked Bottas, aside from the star drivers being in contracts, he's basically Nico. Toto has said this and he'll be the safe pair of hands the one who will bring it home to get points for the team. Difference with Bottas is the press won't be able to make it seem exciting so easily as there is no panto back story with Bottas and Lewis.

I'm excited to see Bottas coming 2nd in Oz but after that will switch to following the lower teams. Nico v's Lewis will seem like the glory days, now its not even a 2 horse race.
