Has anyone on here got involved in the RCN racing on the 'ring.

Looking at the option of doing a round or 2 this year, I've got an idea of the cost envolved in entering on an arrive and drive basis which whilst not crazy is still a bit more than I'd ideally be looking to spend.

The other option would be to look at buying and running a car myself with a friend, another friend runs a car in VLN and the 24hour so should be able to help with advise on the technical side of things but I'm struggling to find any info with regards to the entry fee and or registration fees, does anyone know what sort of costs are enclosed?

Otherwise I guess it's a case of lots of copying and pasting into Google translate to try and work it all out.

In the 2000s I did the precursor to RCN (called the Castrol Haugg Cup back then).

We used Ring Racing to support and develop the car to suit the regs, they'll be able to help either with renting drives or helping you get your car prepared.

They also ran us in VLN and 24h - they're well known by most regulars.

it's like the vln but more clubbie so more production cars than fire breathing gt's etc.

Have you got the required race license and done the RCN+VLN online testing?
You need a "DMSB Permit Nordschleife" (DPN) to race in the RCN.

License info (in English) here - https://lizenz.dmsb.de/files/Auto_Lizenzbestimmung...

Thanks, I'm fairly sure I can have a International C licence as I've done around 50+ races since getting my UK National A.

I was under the impression the additional licence was only required for VLN and the you could either do the course or alternatively do 3 RCN rounds.

Think I need to read through the link, thanks for your help
