Spa Summer Classic 2018

There's so much to enjoy and I'm not bothered to post:
The famous Blood & Thunder C1 of the Chodosh family. Next season they'll throw this one in at the V8 series.
Stick!
La Source is a fantastic place to enjoy dog fights. The TR6 sneaks into the inside line and has 1st choice to race downhill towards the uphill and blind Eau Rouge S-corner. The more powerful C2 Vette needs to take care and aim for the right spot to give full throttle. Too early will spin powerful cars. Downhill means the weight will be on he wrong wheels! Nuff to see there...
Small Sprite is big fun. In Barries Race mods are OK.
Of course you like a Capri.

Cheng Lim attacking La Source in the Nascar Thunder Road Killer Cobra. - Trying new PS techniques to help mobile device display of sRGB pics.
Bugeyed Sprite has got to be my favorite toy racer ever. Check the windscreen....
Easy rolling Vette did not press hard to win. Whatever. It's a great sight anyways. Nuff play on the phat rubber front tyres.
As there are so many snaps to process and share with the world - because, why not? - here are another five to enjoy:
Great looking C2 Corvette attacking La Source.
An Escort might look humble but an 800 kgs shell powered by a 250 to 300 ps screaming four will put you in the top-5 of this field.
Certainly not the quickest but without no doubt amongst the prettiest are these Alfa Coupes. Pretty sound track!
Hard to find Toyota Mk1 MR2 will be a though one on the steep Eau Rouge hill and the yards that follow!
Hardly FIA App K but so much fun to drive.

Well, standing almost on the wall I can almost touch them.
I once did a High Five with a Moggie Roadster driver.
Fantastic noises of the racers coasting along.
Some need to rev the engine to prevent stalling...
Suspension squeeking, wheels rattle and chassis twisting: it's an addictive sight and sound!

It was an agreement. I have the blurry pic somewhere. I missed but only a mere yard.
Jerry signaling me to high five. I completely missed the cue. It's a brief moment #understatement
You can imagine how close these cars pass by: I shoot with a wide angle because otherwise the cars won't fit the 3/4 frame!
Slightly leaning over the wall is an act most pro shooters don't repeat. Agile cars like the Chevron coast by at 60 mph. Woooop!
Sorry, I post-process the left overs in my directory and throw them on insta.
I'd be a shame to not post them on PH as well...
Phil James throwing in the big Cobra: let's say hauling around well over 600 brake on slicks is quite an achievement.
Even bigger cars enter Barries Race: what about this 2 tonne - well, maybe a few stone less - Jaguar XJS. Tuning the old 5.3 V12 may add to the process in getting some proper 3.10 something laps. But still, I think it's more show than go.
The 1st gen Toyota MR2 Mk1 (AW10/AW11, 1985-1989) is indeed almost forty years old! Back in the day the revvy DOHC 1.6 was a sensation.
In France 'est merdeux' did not sound too good. Although Mister Two makes me think twice as well!
