Ted strikes again:

Kravitz: "Who will you be supporting in the World Cup"
Webber: "The Green and Golds"
Kravtiz: "England?"

Aircraft prefer to take off and land into the wind, as it gives more airflow over the wings. Although they don't need it, they can take off with no wind blowing at all.

Allen is still a cock though.

Although sometimes they use a conveyor belt.

Just heard that we are not getting the ITV commentary tonight, Channel 10 have Neil Crompton and Leigh Diffey at Silverstone.
If you think JA is bad (well yes he is) you obviously haven't heard Crompton. The ex midfield V8 driver is the master of scripting long winded stories, full of inappropriate big words that he clearly doesn't really understand. He will then read these scripts during the race, totally ignoring what is happening at the time, even if there is a pass for the lead!

And just for those who understand physics, he made the statement today during the quali telecast (yes a day late here ) that the temp yesterday was DOUBLE the temp during testing in April. So if yesterday was 27deg C, testing was at -123deg C was it Neil?
sorry, one of my MANY pet hates, 27C is NOT twice the temp of 13.5deg C, in fact it is only approx 4% higher

edit for smelling mistrakes and to add; yes I DO shout at the TV when he is on

I don't think he'll do better than this one at the start of the race:

"what if, WHAT IF, those three tenths of a second that Schumacher was slower than Alonso, were down to the fact that Alonso did a better job?"

Er....

He said that they pull 4.5 G lateral, that has got to be bullshit, I've pulled 4G doing a loop at 300mph, does an F1 car go that fast?

.,...and saying that Schumacher had been keeping his speed secret until Raikonnen made his pit stop ! As if Schumacher would not be going as fast as possible from the start to win the race. Any driver not driving 100% from the start and keeping a bit in reserve for one lap would get a rocket from the team manager.

The man is a prat.

You won't be pleased to hear that Brundle said almost the same thing in our commentary.

Is speed the only factor in determening g-forces? If the F1 car makes a tighter turn would that not increase the g-force?

Makes sense to me. Schumacher might have seen he wasn't going to get past Raikkonen and decided to ease off the pace and wait until the stops.

I think the fact that Allen can be irritating means that he gets picked up on statements that are perfectly reasonable.
