Is F1 a sport?
Discussion
I'm sure you can come up with cogent arguments for whether it's sport or big business.
For me IMHO it is sport - that attracts huge money. All that money needs loads of management.
But where ultimately a human is pitted against another human in a physical trial, it's a sport.
Just like tennis, football, golf, etc, the peripherals take a lot of focus nowadays, the politics of which affects the 'names' - which sells newspapers.
Interestingly, I can't think of a 'sportsman' who's ever said, yes, I'm in this for the money.
