As soon as it happened that was what I suspected
but from what they were saying I thought it was their telemetry and not just the pitwall bit.
if they'd have switched off the telemetry it would have worked even better for ferrari. AS it was just swapping one of the wheelnuts for a dodgy one did the job

Sorry if I am getting this wrong but James Allen said the title will go down to Brazil, but surely it can be decided in Japan. They are level on points but Schumacher leads as he has more victories. So, if Schumacher wins in Japan and Alonso has a DNF that puts Schuey 10 points clear. So If Alonso then wins Brazil and Schuey has a DNF they will be tied again on points but Schuey takes it on countback.
Is that right ?

fantastic race. well worth getting up early for. dont know about you guys, but im rooting for schmi.
Fantastic race, well worth setting Sky+ for I think I'm actually rooting for Schumacher to win as well, which I can't believe. Perhaps it's because so many people have been writing him off recently. I think today showed, yet again, just how good he is.
Also, anyone else cast a thought to the potential reliability issues created from Alonso's last 12-15lap blitz, while Michael was easing his way to the line? It really is amazing how he and Brawn still manage to create these feats after so many years.
ferrari and schumacher didn;t create any feat at all today. Renault screwed up and Ferrari won becuase they had the second fastest car. There was no magnificent performance by Schumacher or anything.
AT the end of the race James Allen summed it up as "an awesome performance by schumacher." In reality it was a standard performance by him and Ferrari and a below average one from Renault.
Incidentally, I thought Button's overtake on Heidfeld was awesome, he put his car in just the right spot.

Yeah but that's James Allen, I mean how many sentences did he manage without him shouting "Micheal I want to have your babies", most I counted was three. I feel sorry for MS it must be very uncomfortable with James Allen's head being a permamnant fixture up your arse.
All in all a very enjoyable race, agree with the comment about buttons move on the last lap, well timed and he read the other drivers very well (or so it appeared anyway). Was very pleased watching Alonso's charge once he got his times back, shame it didn't happen 5 laps earlier, the race could have been very very exciting then.
So what change in the regulations is required for all Grand Prix's to have this level of participation and excitement, not just the wet ones?
I thought it was a great race , I will miss Schumy I dont think anyone will ever win seven world championships again never mind eight (if he wins this one). I am just glad I was alive to witness history in the making.
Renault had this weekend handed to them on a plate! They had the better tyres and both cars on the front line of the grid.
I heard the race engineer talking to alonso over the radio at the end of qualifying saying "poor old michael came in sixth" well i wonder what he said at the end of the race today? "poor old Michael just done you again and that engine you just thrashed its nad's off trying to catch him with has to last you another weekend" I bet he's not so cocky now!

Stewards have disqualified Sato for using corporate blocking tactics culminating with him virtually wiping out half the senior team.
Super Aguri’s Takuma Sato has lost his 14th-place finish in Sunday’s Chinese Grand Prix after stewards disqualified him for blocking faster drivers during the Shanghai race.
Sato was the backmarker involved in a final-lap incident, which culminated in Honda’s Rubens Barrichello running into the rear of Nick Heidfeld’s BMW Sauber.
The severity of Sato’s punishment reflects the fact that he has already been reprimanded for ignoring blue flags this season, in Australia back in April.
Spyker’s Christijan Albers was also penalized by Shanghai stewards for the same offence. The Dutchman had 25 seconds added to his race time, but actually moved up from 16th to 15th place thanks to Sato’s exclusion.
So Albers' penalty was pretty pointless.
