Rossi's got it I feel - super race today. More in one race than F1 can offer in at least three seasons.

Rossi will prevail, only wish I had put money on it earlier on in the season (even then I don't think the odds were that great).

Reckon Rossi will take the title. Odds on Pedrosa being on a Repsol Honda next year? Reckon Elias wil replace him.

Don't be silly. It was an honest mistake - however bad. Dani is an amazing racer - without injury he would have been ahead of Hayden in his Rookie year. He's also Honda's Golden Boy. Vale's my man but Dani's perhaps even more talented even if a bit boring. Go to the bookies and bet on a Harden 1st and Dani 2nd for the title to go to Hayden but I hope not!

I want to see Nicky in the ring with that Little C&%T Pedrosa. I would have F*&king Killed the B%$tard.

Surely they cannot be team mates again - if Honda do not fire the Wa*ker they are fools.

No need for team order - you just do not ride like a tt and take out your team mate and even attempt to race him.

I have NOTHING but sorn for the Little BASTARD.

This is not being a Nick fan over Vale - just that I wanted to see these two fighting for it on th track with little outline interference.....

AHrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

He must be DEAD by now.

The rumour mill has Biaggi on the Kawasaki.........Ellison out, Checa poss staying.

Biaggi is signed and sealed with Alstare Corona Suzuki in the World Superbikes, replacing Troy Corser who's going to Yahama Italia to join Haga.

Stoner to Ducati, Checa to LCR Honda? no word on Elias yet. Nicky and Dani resigned and Marco Melandri to get a 3rd works Honda.

crash.net said:

Casey Stoner will leave Honda and ride alongside Loris Capirossi at the factory Ducati Marlboro Team for the 2007 season, according to a report in his native Australia.

The Australian reveals that the 21-year-old will sign a multi-year deal with Ducati, replacing Sete Gibernau - the rider Stoner ironically injured when he crashed out of Sunday's Portuguese Grand Prix at Estoril.

Stoner has been prompted to leave Honda after the re-signing of factory Repsol riders Nicky Hayden and Dani Pedrosa, plus the rumoured decision to hand Marco Melandri a third factory machine in 2007.

"Those deals with Marco, (Dani) and Nicky have already made me a minimum of fourth in line at Honda," said Stoner.

"No rider has ever won a world championship on a satellite bike and that is what is appealing about a factory team like Ducati," he added. "Every year Ducati are winning more races, they are becoming more competitive, as are the Bridgestone tyres."

Stoner has taken one pole position and one podium in his debut MotoGP season, but six non-scores have left him just seventh in the championship standings.

Meanwhile, the Honda LCR team - which graduated with Stoner to the MotoGP class this season - has moved quickly to sign a replacement, tempting veteran Carlos Checa from the Tech 3 Yamaha team, where he has turned heads with impressive performances on Dunlop tyres this year.

"Yes, I have reached an agreement with Carlos Checa but I would also like to wish Casey all the best with his future career," confirmed LCR team principal Lucio Cecchinello.

Checa was due to ride a Honda, alongside Stoner, at the Pons team this season - but the departure of title sponsor Camel to Yamaha forced the team to withdraw from the championship.

In another development, Colin Edwards now looks certain to stay with the factory Yamaha team, alongside Valentino Rossi, in 2007 - the first season of 800cc racing.

But he is right - Honda like to play the "team is bigger than the rider" line - let's see whether they have the balls to fire Pedrosa - I'm betting they don't - he's the natural successor to Rossi after all

Get REAL mate - you put yourself in Haydens position.

Try racing instead of watching - christ that would be bad in club race but at Gp level - the arse is selfish Dick - he would have been chapion if he had finished in that position.

They do not have the balls and you are right unfortunately on an 800 he will be more of a threat to Rossi and the Dic's that Nicky.

Nicky would not have been champion if the race had finished with the riders in the position they were in when Pedrosa crashed out. Vale was in front of him and would've cut H's points lead from 12 to 8.

As it is Vale goes into the final race 8 points clear. the final race is set up for exactly the same edge-of-seat finish that it would've been anyway but with Rossi inthe box seat.

My first reaction was "yes!" quickly followed by "no!" coz those two battling for the race would've been great. As it was the race was great anyway with Ellias riding like a hero.

Can't quite understand why you're so het up about it unless you've got your mortgage resting on Nicky winning the title

As it was Pedrosa was certainly over-optimistic in trying out the move which was a poor copy of the move Hayden did to him the lap before... He certainly didn't do it on purpose and the expression on Hayden's face will be shown in all the highlight programmes for years to come!!!

I would have loved to have been in the garage afterwards!

Mind you it will make Nicky more gee'd up next year to beatthe little git (which is gonna be hard) - and of course he is a Boring Git (the Spaniard).

Anyway more real racing tonite - rerun of final WSB late on one of the terrestrial channels.

Im just going to bump this, coz a week next sundays too far away.

As I see it. all Vale has to do is win or shadow Nicky for second, UNLESS Nicky wins and Pedrobot is second in front of Vale ?

Is that right?

How much would you put on Vale to win ?

Isn't it possible for Honda to get their team bosses together and say - if you want our support next year, you better all work to get in front of Rossi in Spain next week. Could they not all work together to squeeze Rossi away from just in front or just behind Hayden?

Do you really think it would make a difference? If Vale has total reliability, a good tactical race and a modicum of luck then he will prevail, then again, he probably will anyhow. He just loves it when all seem to conspire against him and it only makes him go 11/10ths. I can't wait (can anyone?).
